14,575 announced attendance.
And that is more than twice the next highest attendance at today's playoff games, which was 7062 at the Eastern Illinois-Northern Iowa game. Attendance at the Western Illinois-Dayton game was 997 ... nope, not a misprint, 997. So, although our attendance was disappointing for us Griz fans, it was pretty damned good compared to the rest of the FCS world.

There is nothing like the playoffs in Wash-Griz. Today was a super fun day, and I was down below for a bit and it was very, very loud. Well done Griz Nation. The roads from Havre to Missoula, which I drove both ways today were very good and safe too.

All you "move upers" on this site take note of this number. Hard to believe that they drew that few a fans for a playoff game IN MISSOULA! Get off your sorry a$$es and GET TO THE GAME!

Oh, the irony....the "stay putters" BIGGEST ARGUMENT against moving up is how AWESOME the playoff games are.....yet attendance today will be just north of 50% of a regular season game...super.
That game was awesome fan support was not.

  :thumb: Sure would have been nice to have another 3-4,000 fans there. We could draw 19,000 for the same team on Thanksgiving weekend in 2009 but only 14,500 on the same weekend in 2015??? Is this another result of King Royce. That guy has got to go!!

I love the thanksgiving crowd because it's mostly the hardcore fans mixed with family back in town enjoying the rare griz game...so it's always loud and a great atmosphere. Also, shorter lines for beer, and the bathroom

:?

Not sure if serious.....

I'm usually pissed off about playoff attendance on this peticular holiday weekend. However, I decided to stay positive and just roll with the flow and yell my ass off. The drive was smooth from Rimrockville with relatively no icy conditions to speak of. I purchased a few extra tix and put on a heavy discount to someone who would actually brave the cold and be a real fan. I can't understand why the NCAA wouldn't allow our veterans to receive a 50% discount on this holiday playoff weekend. Isn't this honor our military month? Seriously? WTF? I still had a great playoff experience. Winning cures many of the deficiencies associated with a T-Day playoff event... :egriz:

What was the record of the 2009 Griz?........How about the 2015 Griz?......When did the 2009 Griz know they would be in the playoffs?.....When did the 2015 Griz know that they would be in the playoffs?....

I concur!

Before the game, I was disappointed in reported ticket sales, but it was a great atmosphere. I heard from two different people that I know who on the sidelines that it was just as deafening as it ever is. My theory is . . . all of the people who show up for playoff games are the screamers in the large crowds.

It was loud. And cold . . . ;)
