This is an outrage! I'm outraged. It's outrageous. If anyone is inrageous, or even rageous, s/he isn't paying enough attention.

You've obviously never watched the game.

There was a belief that he did that with inferior talent due to much higher academic standards and less athletic schollies at CSM. The hope was that given a far more athletically gifted team, he's unique coaching philosophy's would make us something special. I'm still withholding judgment and hoping he'll get this thing turned around. He has certainly brought in talent that is unprecedented here, at least where the rating systems come into play.

Unprecedented talented?? Please. No way.
Agree; lacking evidence to support such an outlandish statement.

Not to sound like 75, but I have banging the lack of talent drum all season, but so many Griz fans can not take off the maroon glasses to take an unbiased look.
Offensively, the talent is there except for the most important position where you have to be Tom Brady every game to run it correctly. Brady clearly in the big games, lacks the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Defensively, the talant is mostly there but like the O, the system may be a bit too complex, especially with its first full year in use. I'd expect to see some improvements, maybe less pressure on the secondary to perform at the levels of expectations they had this year.

I've posted every 30 seconds for the last two years that the Griz should win the Rose Bowl. Yet nobody listens. So on I type.

Ha, shows what you know. Anyone that has played the game or at least watched the game with knowledge , would know that the Rose Bowl is impossible. If you want to be taken seriously, start talking Fiesta Bowl because every informed fan knows that is the obvious next step.

Bama, we will just have to agree to disagree. By the way, did you take a look at the All-Conference selections?

I know about one game Bob lost to a hated rival, at home, that completed 2 passes the entire game. Has this ever happened since the invention of the forward pass.

Kuresa for Portland State did not complete one pass against Idaho State this year. Though they rushed for like 500+..and won..

Like the meme that coaches get better in their third and subsequent years in a program, the notion that a coach has not performed up to his capabilities because of lack of resources is always a fallacy because the lack of resources may not be the cause of the performance.

Yes, we all know that coaches' best years are the first two with the program. It's an abomination that the University System offers 3 year contracts.

I've forgotten more about watching games than games have forgotten about watching you and your game watching.

What Coach Ben needs is more low IQ kids from weak families. Right now EWU is getting all those kids. Jesus!

Bad kids from weak families aren't going to turn this ship around. It's time to fly sweep up this mess and get back to some hard-nosed football. If there is one knock on this team that is warranted, it's the softness of noses. Does Bruce Stitt even check nose hardness when recruiting? We look like all cartilege out there.

For the first time ever I will concede that point. It's conceded, but I will concede. So how do we find those kids with hard noses that can get us back to our glory years when we won, like, two chippers every six years, and our special teams were actually special, and when we needed two yards we could get 2.1? Should we try to find a hard-nosed Coach? What about Coach Hack? If there was ever a guy known for his nose, it's gotta be him!

We have to make nose hardness a priority in recruiting again. For too long, we have been concerned with 40 times and hand size. If you show up to fall camp with a soft nose, GTFO. Bill Hawk is not the answer. We need a program overhaul that emphasizes nose hardness. "Getting up" to play in WA-GRIZ on Saturday should not be an issue. My nose is at half mast even typing this.

So the priority is:

1. Nose hardness;
2. Hand size; and
3. Forty time?

Did I get that right?

I'm not sure a 5'9"185-pound offensive tackle with a nose made of diamond is going to get the job done. But give CDA three years to see how this plays out. It's only fair.

Yes. Three years, max. This has to be the priority from now on. If we get some hard noses in the trenches, watch out. I'll take a hard-nosed kid that knows about Montana Football over some jello-nosed punk from parts unknown. Five years in, you'll see the difference. These kids won't be lost in the locker room. It'll only take about seven years to tell that it's paying off.

I heard Nick Saban would take the griz headcoach job for the griz but only if Stitt is fired by 5 this afternoon.....

CDA may very well be right. We recently did an in-depth story on this on my pay-per-view betting/dating advice site, www.Threeknucklesdeep.com., the ONLY FCS website that provides weekly game analysis and predictions based solely on individual and team hand size. The esteemed panel included Joe Theismann, Jimmy Durante's grandniece, Lola Atkins, and reputed mobster, Michael "The Nose" Mancuso. The panel was unanimous in their belief that rhinoplasty could be the next step in developing competitive Division 1 athletes.

You guys could be right.

But I still don't understand how a team can go forward to greatness without going backwards to greatness first. Because the best greatness is always yesterday's greatness. If you don't believe it, then I have some photos to show you of me in my Bob Cousy shorts. Sure, I had average nose hardness, but I made up for it in greatness.

But like I said, I will give it three years, and if things don't work out, we'll have to go backwards once again, but this time we will have to go backwards plus three years, and it's not easy to go back that far in one year.
