I was in 6th grade last time thwy made the big dance!

Unreal! I don't hear Cat fans mention that stat, not once. Almost comical that their best team in 30 years couldn't beat us in Missoula. I think the game in Bozo was actually closer. And there's a couple on here wanting our coach fired. Such a leap in program realities.

Great post.

It’s pretty Remarkable that the cat’s best team in at least 3 decades with about 117 seniors can’t sweep their rivals. And meanwhile GRIZ fans want to run TDC out of town as he’s had the audacity to only win 20 games this season with a shit ton of under classmen.

Put another way, the cats with their absolute best teams have lost as many times to the GRIZ in 2 years as TDC has lost to the cats in his entire career.

Travis made the decision to not let Adamu and others beat the Griz with three-pointers. Almost all of the Cats’ baskets were from point-blank range.

The strategy worked, even though the guy sitting next to me kept wishing we’d play some zone defense and deny the ball to Belo.

P.S., any Cat coach or fan who thought the refs favored the Bobkittens was watching a different game than the one I saw.

Let’s win these next two and gain some momentum into Boise!

My first Griz Basketball game I attended since pre-COVID. I was thrilled to be there. I was on a guys trip down in Vegas and flew back to Missoula yesterday to attend the game (while they stayed in Vegas, I was worried I would regret my decision with how the Griz were playing), I left at 6am and boy was I not disappointed. It was totally worth it.

It seemed to me that both teams had completely opposite game plans yesterday. We’re usually the pound the paint team, while the cats are usually the live by the 3 die by the 3 team. Hot shooting from the Griz yesterday kept us in it. Belo is as advertised. He’s a phenomenal player, and I thought Owen’s did a really nice job on him, everybody else struggled to defend him.

Overall, it was a great win and we clinched a first round bye. This team is capable of winning the tournament if they can put together a complete 40 minutes. We’ve struggled to do that many times this year, but we were able to yesterday. 2 games to go, including UNC who we'll likely face the following week in the quarters at the tournament, so an important scout game. Go Griz!
