Who are new heavy's?

Not correct. Now players can be on the field 5 years. People playing for many years in recent years have generally not played when they weren’t healthy and were not on the field taking up the two-deep slots.
Not correct regarding which point? Be specific, please.

I understand that players can now be on the field for 5 years. If we're talking about taking up roster spots, which I believe we were, then it makes no difference whether they're on the field or not. Like they have been able to for quite a while, most players at the FCS level are staying on the roster for 5 years. That will not change. If you'd like to say that it changes who is on the two deep, I would agree to that, but as far as I can tell, that isn't the conversation that was being had earlier.

Your main point was not correct.

Roster spots while redshirting or injured don’t really take up spots. Heck, the roster is now huge. It’s playing time and getting on the field that is important.

Older more experienced and better players will be on rosters and taking roster spots, not lesser and undeveloped frosh who used to
Redshirt.

I can’t believe how little some of you understand about football. You can’t understand how Joe and extra year for experienced players takes away playing time and schollies for younger players.

Again not true. Take soccer you have 28 roster spots. If 8 girls get injured this year you can’t add any, stuck with 20 players. There i
Are no more redshirts or medical waivers
