Happy 250th Birthday America!

Not to break any bubbles or blow your minds but we were still fighting the Revolutionary War until September 3, 1783. The U.S.A. was not a nation until January 14, 1784. Therefore, we are 238 years old.

We declared our independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776 but we weren't a true nation state. Most states had their own currencies, laws, and trade policies.
