Coach Kennedy new 4 year contract

Great comment and was my thoughts that he (and the staff) might find resistance in getting bigger recruits with such a short shelf life.
Besides, it cant be any worse than the Stitty era. I think BK is going to do some great things bringing such positive energy. PR will be better. We were all done with Bobby's shit show when it came to the media and the face of the U. The offense should remain strong. If the new defensive staff have some teeth, I only see a huge upside to all of this.
The thing about Papa Bear was how engaging he was. The kids would run through a wall for him. He also had a solid staff. The same can be said for good ol Joe. I think BK has been given some great keys and he's doing what good coaches should do, let their coaches, coach.
Don Read treated everyone with the same level of respect and dignity. It didn't matter if you were the janitor cleaning the bathroom or the star quarterback.

Agreed. Im hearing the only hesitation on some recruits was his 1 year deal... hes had a pretty high level of success on the recruiting trail despite this, now he can cook. Id assume we see several more big commitments in the coming few weeks with this news.

Hes done everything right thus far, obviously gotta prove it on the field now, but limiting him to a one year deal was going to limit his ability to succeed. GO GRIZ
See, that’s what I was thinking…being an interim is NEVER a good position to recruit from…and he’s KILLED it despite that.

Hauck went 6-5 overall, 4-4 in the Big Sky on his first year after his triumphant return. The bar has been set really really low, but I love BK's attitude and all the work he has put in, I believe this team will do so much better.
Hauck didn’t inherit a team that was 13-2 and ranked ranked no. 3 in nation The bar is set quite high.

“I’m not going to tell you who to ask, but go ask them.”

It was a directive that sounded ridiculously stupid, my friends. Alas, I set out to do just that. Call it morbid curiosity. I guess that’s why my friends call me Whiskers. The first person I asked was a lady at Albertsons. It was on aisle 12. She was tall, slender, late 40s, pale with coal black hairs bobbed short, falling about her nape. She was reaching for diced pimentos and I hot yellow chiles when our eyes met. I sensed a pensiveness in her gander I can only describe as…searching. There was a blatant and unmistakable pain hidden deep behind her eyes. Undaunted and without delay, I blurted out, “How would you contrast Bobby Hauck’s approach to in-state recruiting to that of Bobby Kennedy?!” Gobsmacked by my sudden query, she gave but a wry smile as if to say, ‘Get the fuck away from me, douchebag!’ before hurriedly making her way down the aisle to the assorted condiments, some of which were on sale, doubtless in anticipation of the townsfolk’s Independence Day galas. Knowing she must know something, I gave chase.

After explaining myself to security several times (what is it with people these days?), here I sit. Back to square one. Ashamed? Mildly. Determined? You betcha! I will unearth those with answers and hold them to account if it’s the last thing I do. For I put it to you, my friends, if we are to live in a civilization of questions without answers, what is to separate us from the animals? I posit the answer is nil.
Just when I think you cannot top some of your best work ever on this site, you go ahead and do this. Master class.

In defense of BH, the team he left is head and shoulders better than the team he inherited.

To be fair, neither did Kennedy. More than 1/3 of that team and about half the coaching staff are gone.
No, Kennedy inherited the team exactly as I said. 13-2 and 3 in nation. Players leave every year, as do coaches. Kennedy brought coaches he wanted. He returns great rb, qb and receiver. Best rb and perhaps best qb in nation. Some great D players including lb’s.
