Brooks Davis #7 Returning WR

So we have someone saying “huge upside” is better than established greatness? What’s the saying a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush?
I would say that if you include his redshirt year he has only been around football for four years. And the year he had last year was a great year for any freshman regardless. I think he is going to be outstanding. Griz got in on him early. Give credit to Bobby. Does he belong with Griz greats of all time? Not yet. Will he? Maybe

I agree he has a lot of potential but potential doesn’t mean he is as good as players who have produced results in the record books at UM yet. He could be in the future but he’s not there yet.

If he does have a year to compare with some of these guys that is great. It probably means both him and Ah Yat stayed healthy. And probably means with the RBs we have that the Griz probably put up a lot of points and had a great season.

Mariani did have an outstanding career. Drafted into the NFL, playing 6 seasons and making the pro bowl is outstanding for someone whose graduating class at Havre High School had barely over 100 students. How many professional athletes are from Havre? Mariani is the only one I know of.

Don’t quote me on this, but I believe there was an NFL lineman who owned a car dealership in Havre. I think his name was Mike Tillamen from Chinook. Played for the Griz. Close proximity to Havre.
