If Ryan plays special teams for Griz and his friendship helps bring Humphrey… Griz have lost too many good West players to Cats. Lotta talent there most years. It’s a big picture move in my opinion.

I don't know what the average is for UM vs the Puds regarding recruiting, but it was always sort of a feeder for MSU. When I went there West was the "rich" school. A lot of the kids parents had gone to MSU. I was the oddball UM fan because that's where my family was.
Not to Pick Nits.... Colt Anderson was a Walk-on I believe, and Patrick O'Connell went to University of Mary out of High School and then transferred to UM. So technically I would say neither MSU or UM "Recruit" both these young men. They took their shot, and proved they were great. UM has an amazing track record of Walk-on Players turning into All Americans. Hauck started his college career at Pacific University so it's probably safe to say UM didn't recruit him either.

Back to the origin of this post…..I just talked to my daughter and asked if it would be okay if we changed her name to All-American Sonic Smasher. She said no. I tried to be cool like Taco’s parents. I failed.

The disconnect might be that Taco's parents are cool and you were just trying to be...I dunno.
I've had a chance to review the origin of this post with my daughters, Double-Double and Animal Style. We've all agreed that the DISGUSTING ACT by young Taco has brought shame upon the junk-food-named community. JFNs are calling for a full reversion to McLean.
I don't know how you read that from what I said, but it pretty clearly wasn't what I intended.
Every post I've had on the topic (all 2 of them) have been complimentary towards those players. I was just pointing out that if BG wanted to make a post on MSU "loosing" recruits, it would make more sense to use the recruits that MSU offered that went on to choose UM. Would be like me coming in here saying that UM is shaking in their boots because we got Laytin Erickson. Just doesn't make any sense. Doesn't take anything away from any young man who gets an offer to play from any school, that's a tremendous accomplishment that I would never mock.
If you'd like to talk to Rory about what I said, by all means, go for it. We know each other and he knows I was hoping MSU would offer his son even though the chances of him coming to MSU were slim to none once UM offered.
Always like your posts around here, and it's clear now what you were trying to say, but it did kind of come off as you dogging on the kid. Probably just a bad choice of phrase there.
My apologies. I thought with the context of my prior posts in this thread that I wasn't putting anybody down, but that's my bad. I don't like to ever put any of these kids down, especially not a HS recruit. I don't insult players from either team, unlike BG.
