LadyGriz 2026 Big Sky Conference Women's Basketball Transfer Tracker

Dom Nesland is Draya Wacker's replacement. Shooting is very close to identical except Dom is a little better overall but not great. 3 point shooting is almost identical shooting mid-20's. Dom is a better rebounder which the Lady Griz could really use.
 
Shippen was the Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year last year and averaged 23ppg. Played sparingly at Columbia but she’s only a freshmen. Has a lot of upside.

Nesland redshirted at Xavier when Aby Shubert still played there, so that’s probably the connection. High Point invests a lot of money into Basketball so they don’t recruit just anybody. And she was a decent contributer there over 2 years.

Hopefully these two girls are an upgrade over what we’ve had previously! Let’s go get Paige Lofing now!

Shippen is the Idaho high school all-time, all-class leading career scorer with 2372 points.
 
OKAY some great news...Thought Shippen was a possibility.

Shay Shippen is a great pickup. Probably helped that Gillette is her cousin, but they both prepped in the same region of Idaho. (Shippen @Skyline in IF, and Gillette at Sugar-Salem). Shippen's parents are former D1 players (Shay's mom played at San Diego State (after time at Ricks I think), her dad as a walk-on at BYU) and high school coaches. Shay's dad has been a very successful 4A/5A coach in Idaho (Minico/Skyline/etc). Harris and company heavily recruited her in HS. Smart. Smart. Basketball family.

I am not leaving out hope that they can get Lofing and Moore. Lofing is more likely I think but would love to see Kennedy Moore as well. Haven't seen or heard updates on either recently.

Are you sure about Nesland. The information I see about Nesland is that Nesland went To Xavier College Prep for High School In Phoenix. Shubert went to Xavier University in Cincinnati. There is no mention of red shirting in college. Nesland has 2 years with the Lady Griz so does have upside.

Yes you’re correct! My apologies! I saw on her instagram a picture of her in a Xavier jersey and I just assumed that it was the college.

The stats are there, the film clips available on youtube looks like she is bigger stronger, squares up well to the basket, looked like drives and in the paint shots might be strong points, able to spot open players and assist. 5'9, not sure how athletic she is, speed jumping etc. Most of the clips show her drives to the basket not well contested, but good ball control, going to be some adjustment against higher caliber defenders. We'll see!

That 38 second clip shows her playing against girls that look like they can't play or defend, not a true representation. Find some clips of her playing in the Adidas Circuit with Natalie Williams basketball.
