Wa Griz West Side expansion

the bobs stadium plans are a little odd. if i'm seeing everything correctly, they plan to put enclosed suites or club seating directly under the screen? seems kinda weird, er, wierd, when the whole stadium is watching a replay on the screen, they'd also be looking directly at people behind the 'club' windows, because they are so close together. maybe the plan is to raise the screen higher than the picture, i suppose.

It’s the software. Boise State stadium upgrade renderings look similar but construction looks good 65 million upgrade done in August. your missing the point your instate rivals have a master plan

First, whatttt??

Then, shhhhh!!! (so does Montana; sorry if that ruins your day).

I know there haven’t been any plans of stadium expansion recently but I’ve been hearing for years that we need to improve press boxes and expand high end seating. I’d love to see the west side mirror the eastside and add roughly 2,000 seats to the stadium. I don’t think it would over extend demand plus we’d be able to hit 30,000 for big games.

Obviously it comes down to finances and I believe there are a lot of fans right now who would be willing to contribute. I know I would. Current administration doesn’t seem to have a plan even though this has been talked about for years…

Anyone have any information or advice for how we can make a difference and help push this thing forward?
For a cost estimate look at Montana States master plan, there stadium renovation was around 18 million took 2 years to raise or a more robust renovation look at Boise State, renovation will be complete this August and cost 65 million took 2 years to raise as well.

You’re late to the party, folks have been saying that MSU is passing UM in fund raising and facility building and wondering why. They have and put out a detailed master plan, where is UM master plan.
Who is wondering why? They are probably the top FCS program and have access to more big money boosters than UM.

I think that's the point people are making though. Why don't we have more access to big money boosters? Are we not reaching out? Are we not doing enough to keep them engaged? Everyone here is in agreement that the cats have more access to big money boosters, the question is why doesn't UM have as many big money boosters?

I would just say look at the Bozeman area and the influx of business, many of them high tech, and it being the area that big-money out of staters are relocating. The base of big $$$ is larger than Missoula. This is less about engagement and more about pure numbers.

Could be a reason or MSU AD is more engaging, they have a master plan to show donors. Where is UM master athletic plan. What Haslam doing we don’t hear much Why can’t UM go into Bozeman and get money. Most of the new business in Bozeman have no ties to MSU.

Could be. Could be you just like to continually shit on the AD because you are butt hurt that soccer isn't getting all the money you think it should for a non-rev sport.

I'm a basketball coach, it's a new area for the Griz, new football coach, new soccer coach and maybe new basketball coaches next year.

DeCuire's not going anywhere. He's played in the Big Sky title game 3 years in a row and if it weren't for Money Williams coming down with the flu the night before the title game, it would've been back to back March Madness appearances.

As well as he has a 100% graduation rate, and I don't ever recall even one sniff of a player getting into any trouble under his regime.

I agree somewhat, you never know with a new president, happens at a lot of schools to coaches with good records, new president eventually hires a new AD and so on, just like in business.

Would be awesome if he could also recruit some big men and stop coaching in a manner that results in large leads chronically disappearing.

There’s no question he’s a first class coach and person, but I personally believe he’s gotten a bit stale here. I think he never imagined he wouldn’t be at UDub, Cal, or Stanford by now.

And with how pathetically weak the Big Sky is, I have no doubt he could compete for the conference championship every season regardless of how good his team is. This season is evidence of that.

As long as he's successful then he won't be pushed out. Leon Costello didn't go in there and push out Tricia Binford when she was having success just so he could make his own hire. That's a flawed concept.
