MBBALL University of Montana Men's Basketball Recruiting: 2026+

Good for them. Pretty bad look to poach high school recruits though after they have signed their grant in aid. I get that is where he’s from, and his brother plays for them, but still I really hate a lot of the ethics of this era.

How much does he need to weigh to play wing for the griz? Serious question.
I am confident, he will add muscle.
The kid wanted to be a GRIZ.
He should have the opportunity.

As for strength, weight, etc; Kevin Durant wasn't strong nor big coming into college, then the NBA. Ditto Steph and many more, it's not much of a factor for wing players.

Rogers sure looks to have more upside than many other Montana kids the GRIZ got commits from.

Why are you so negative on Rogers?

Lack luster? We haven’t even started yet. A JC guy does not count as a portal pickup. I know they have a couple guys in town this weekend, so we’ll see what they get out of that but ya it’s a slow start for sure.
Maybe not in the true definition of portal pickup but the JC players does count as portal pickup, he counts against the roster cap so it counts.

Fairly lack luster start in the portal.
Isn't it all kinda trickle down for Griz and Big Sky teams? It has only been a week and when some of these players see that big offers aren't coming in they start then to look at possibly Big Sky? So they can get some playing time and hit the portal again in a year?

Yeah maybe. I’m sure this can all turn around but to me this is slower than even last year when we need some dudes. College basketball is hard to see at this mid-major level.

Too bad there wasn’t a high school player or two in the state that could help fill a roster. I wouldn’t be so angry about it if the coaches actually watched or talked to some of the players in Montana. At least show some respect to the state that supports your university. I have no excitement for a low mid major program without any continuity or local presence.

Happens more than you think. AD was forced out, new leadership, got new HC and supposedly 4 million in revenue share/NIL this year

Who would you suggest?
