Vim's 2027 Montana HS Player Thread

The Drew commitment in particular tells me BK is moving the needle. Just a month ago I was talking with his dad and it sounded fairly pro - bobcats. This commitment, along with the missoula guys vigen was going after pretty aggressively, tells me BK has flipped the script pretty quickly in terms of where these montana kids want to go. It's an important and significant step in what I hope is an extension for BK! Gotta go get it done on the field when the scoreboard is on now.
I agree with everything you said. Also, I’m learning a little bit more about Vigen. Sammy and Keenan interviewed Willie Patterson from the cats recently. He talked specifically about the difference between Choate and Vigen. It was an interesting discussion.

He said Choate got to know you and what made you tick and learn all about your family and was insanely personable and if you failed, you felt like you were failing Choate as a man. whereas he said Vigen is more top level manager isn’t super personable doesn’t really get to know you on that level And makes it all about the team. Not that either way is wrong. Vigen is obviously quite effective as well, but I see Kennedy being more of that Choate type person….really wants to get to know you type of relationship and I think that is already having its effect on these kids and these recruits

It's clear that BK and staff are rock star recruiters. Now let's see how it all plays out on the field. I would love nothing more than to watch UM obliterate the Puds this coming year, run the table and walk away with the hardware. I think it's possible given NDSU is now gone. The pundits think MSU is the next NDSU, but I don't think so. I don't believe MSU makes the NC this year. I really don't.

Also, there is an air of arrogance that may be off putting... makes it not about the recruit so much as makes it about last year's team.
Humility is a good attribute to have. The thing about being a champion is that when the clock strikes 12:00 everything starts all over again and you're just a squirrel trying to get that big golden nut again along with all of the other squirrels.

And actually with way more pressure. They have nowhere to go but down now….they’re supposed to win it all again and anything short of that would be a massive failure. Really all the pressure is on them now.

I don’t really care what pressure they have. They have a very upper classmen heavy team with experience, and experience that matters with multiple title game trips and a natty. They will be the favorites. They have support and investment and no constraints. I would say they don’t have as much pressure as we would like to believe. We can’t control any of that either.

UM is the one with the monkey on their back staring down the barrel of another trip to Bozeman. Our head to head across many sports has been lacking for years.
We constantly dwell in the past. Thank God we no longer have to compare Bobby 2.0 to Bobby 1.0. We are 15 years removed from the biggest setback the university has had in many of our lifetimes. We have a new coach and a new university. It’s either get back to being progressive and leading or being complacent and watching the taillights pull further away. I think there are many that are up to the challenge. Time will tell.
