Ya I think they completely missed on their evaluation of him. Probably thought WWU would turn into a feeder program for them. I agree though. We can find somebody much better than him.

It’ll be interesting to see how many kids commit to a new school on the first day of the portal window.
 
The estimate is that 60-70 percent of D1 Men’s players will enter the portal. Last year, it was 61 percent.

Mid February is now considered judgment day. Valentine’s Day. That’s when the vast majority of players start Angling with “agents”.

Thats rediculous. On average, 3/5 of every team will transfer out. It should really say something about a program and a coach if they can keep 50-60% of their non-graduating players.

I understand the logistics of it all. Im just saying the turnover ratio is crazy and Montana is usually in the under on that which should say something about our culture.

This past year was first year players could get paid, Welcome to the life of a mid major, if you don’t have the funds/revenue to pay players roster turnover could be an issue every year. If you have money, players still leave.

So far, Boise State lost 5 players, Montana 4, Washington State 7, Idaho 4 to name a few.

Yup exactly. With new revenue sharing model + third party NIL, if you are in the top 5-8 of the rotation on a basketball team, you are expected to produce based on what the school expects your return on investment to be. And if you don't, you can expect to be asked to take less or move on.

Atleast for football this is not the case. The vast majority that enter the portal in college football are clueless about the compensation they could receive in NIL. Lots of players retire themselves by entering the portal simply because they don’t get any offers to transfer.

No one has announced they are leaving Arizona yet but I suspect 2 of their freshman are going to be lottery picks in June. High major basketball programs seem to be better off in the new era.

Maybe, but any person could argue he will do more than $2.7m worth of damage over the remainder of his contract. It would have been perfect timing with the new PAC happening just like they did with football.
