Eli Kasberg commits

Yeah, who recruits 3 star kids in Montana-- not MSDUI-- because there are just so many of them 🙄 : ( !!!

" Amazing what happens when you give local kids some attention" refutes your first sentence, just one of many examples of claims that UM under Coach Green and Hauck didn't recruit Missoula.
I know for a fact MSU didn't recruit one of the kids you named and put very little effort into the other 2.

That quote doesn't say what you claim it says. Reading comprehension is your friend.

Amazing what happens when you give the local kids some attention. Glad he's going to be a Griz! I see VIM thinks he's a LB in the making - maybe the same Janacaro type of path? Griz have now landed 3 Missoula guys, Sirmon, King, and Kasberg. Love it!
Why did you kiss BH's ass when he was the head coach if you thought the same as you do now all of the sudden?

The FACT is that only King and Kasberg had offers from the cats and interest from other schools. I'll leave it at that.....

You guys go wayyyyy overboard with some of this, and imply that the Griz just went head-to-head with the cats on 3 straight recruits and won out. Simply not the case. Harsh, but true.

HelenaWasteBasket is omnipresent, omniscient--He is a Dionne Warwick psychic and knows the hidden meaning of others' plain-written words, and omnipotent, and he's also has a very pleasant, charming personality 😀...psych. !!!

But I know for a FACT that HelenaWasteBasket is also a humble human hemorrhoid , so from now on, I am referring to him as Humble HelenaHumanHemorrhoid or
" Triple H " for short.

I know for a FACT that Preparation H is your friend, HelenaHumanHemorrhoid, except that you don't have any friends, Triple H : ( !!!

Even if it’s 2, sure seems to be a better trajectory than losing out on head to heads over multiple Missoula/Montana kids that ended up being big pieces in helping them beat us twice and win their first title in 40 + years. These are the wins that you start with in order to ensure the bigger ones down the road. Also, even winning one kid that can help recruit the class moving forward is big. These 3 could certainly help as this class shapes up.

You realize this post demonstrates exactly what we all thought...and that is not a good thing.

The Missoula kids didn’t kids didn’t drive the recent success of the Cats, tho.

Oh hey, I agree 100%. King and Kasberg were huge gets, and from what I was told heavily leaning towards the cats one point. No arguments there.

Seems to me that if the cats had swooped in and gotten all these kids from UM's backyard, then the story would be about what a coup it was... But in this case the answer is that they didn't really want them anyway (which to me is a stupid argument when you're actively recruiting them.) Kind of seems like spin one way or the other, so whatever. Let's just be happy for every Montana kid we get and hope and pray that they come in and get to make an impact. They won't all be Chase Reynolds or Mark Mariani, but there's likely to be one in the bunch. Will be fun to watch them develop and grow.

TBH, with the lack of effort recruiting local kids in the past, how else could you look at it other than they really didn't want them? If you really want them, shouldn't you work harder during the process than the guys down the road?

I said this in a different thread, but there is no excuse not to put some effort into recruiting the Missoula athletes. It literally costs you nothing to drive across town, or hell walk to Sentinel or Hellgate from campus, to show some love to some kids. I don't mean every football player at the Missoula schools is worthy to recruit, but these ones certainly were. And BH did nothing, while Vigen met both in person and even offered Kasberg a scholarship in person. Glad to see BK placing more emphasis on, recruiting MT kids.

I think maybe we're talking about two different things. I'm not trying to comment on the recruiting style of the previous coaching staff - which to me was lackluster at best when it came to local and Montana kids. My comment only had to do with the discussion around whether these three recruits were CURRENTLY being recruited by MSU or not, and therefore what it meant that they chose UM instead. I think even you stated that MSU wasn't really recruiting them hard, but they WERE recruiting them. Just trying to make a point that each team and fans should be happy with who they get and not make it all about stealing a certain recruit away from the other team and the spin that gets put on everything regarding that.

I know that the guys down the road were recruiting 2 of them very hard and very much wanted them. Quite literally the type of situation that the Griz would have lost in the last several years. It was a coup then and would have been one now.

Okay. I obviously misunderstood your post where you were responding to someone else and you said that MSU didn't want the kids mentioned. Probably mixed it up in my head.

I actually agree with you but I also think it's dumb to argue over who gets the best recruits.
