Recorded this with Eli last month. Wanted to wait until spring ball to drop it. He talks loyalty to Montana, his upcoming summer camps for kids and more
Great guy. Great reasons to stay. But i do ponder if it’ll hinder his development at the next level.Recorded this with Eli last month. Wanted to wait until spring ball to drop it. He talks loyalty to Montana, his upcoming summer camps for kids and more
Doubtful. His body will take less wear and tear at UM, and Eddie George would be a good guy to listen to. If he told Eli that staying is the right way for him to get to the NFL, I'd put a lot more weight behind his opinion than most other people.Great guy. Great reasons to stay. Valid. Not really a better guy to listen too. I just want to see him play and don’t want him to get buried in the draft just because he’s an fcs guy.Doubtful. I think racanelli regrets his choice nowI never have understood the FBS is better argument. Check Wake Forest this year. They have a certain receiver who got buried on the depth chart. Would have been great for the Griz. Probably would have gotten more looks from NFL scouts. Maybe that wasn’t his goal? I just feel like it was a waste of his talent. Why dot the neck for a mediocre FBS team when you can call out at the FCS level. Mediocre FBS teams are no guarantee for visibility.
RB is probably the most "plug and play" position there is. Outside of the guys that kick the ball.Great guy. Great reasons to stay. But i do ponder if it’ll hinder his development at the next level.
I don't.I think racanelli regrets his choice now
I would hope not. Regrets are useless.I think racanelli regrets his choice now
Thanks for sharing. Anybody hearing anything out of spring ball conditioning good bad or otherwise, surprise roster additions, injuries etc?Recorded this with Eli last month. Wanted to wait until spring ball to drop it. He talks loyalty to Montana, his upcoming summer camps for kids and more
You could see Eli had next level talent when he was in high school. He was a man among boys.Great guy. Great reasons to stay. But i do ponder if it’ll hinder his development at the next level.
Oh man. I actually really like the vikings fit. He in a lot of ways reminds me of aaron jones, if that comp makes sense. You could see Eli had next level talent when he was in high school. He was a man among boys.
At the FCS level, his talent is obvious. NFL scouts and front office people would be stupid to pass up drafting him. Of course, there will always be some who think they are smarter than everyone else and will pass on him but that will be to their detriment.
Selfishly, I would love the Minnesota Vikings to draft him.
I can't imagine a scenario where Gillman gets drafted. He's great for FCS. Let's just enjoy that. Every top 25 FBS team has a RB (and often 2 or 3) that are better than Eli. He'll go to an NFL camp, but 25 RBS were drafted last year (2 from Ohio State) and none were from FCS. Only 6 FCS players were drafted last year total (including Bergen and Mellott) and only 3 actually played in a game-all O-lineman. Just reality.Oh man. I actually really like the vikings fit. Chase Edmonds was drafted from Fordham and played 7 years in the NFL. Their play style is very similar. Isaiah Davis was drafted to the New York Jets from South Dakota State in 2024.I can't imagine a scenario where Gillman gets drafted. He's great for FCS. Let's just enjoy that.
