Why is it in Boise and who wants to go there? Boise is a bottom tier destination for a college basketball tournament. Play in Vegas and a lot more people will attend.
What makes Boise a nice place to visit and spend some time?Boise is actually a really nice place to visit and spend some time, however you are correct....send it to Vegas. Every other west coast conference MWC, Big West, WAC old Pac12 and most likley new Pac 12 have it there.
Anyway Boise is geographically in the Big Sky footprint. Vegas has no connection whatsoever to the Big Sky.Why is it in Boise and who wants to go there? Boise is a bottom tier destination for a college basketball tournament. Play in Vegas and a lot more people will attend.
Have it in Denver, Phoenix or Salt Lake City if it needs to be in the conference footprint. Those are major cities and hubs for major airlines. You can fly direct to almost anywhere in the country and there are a lot of things to do. Boise to me seems like a large town rather than a city which is not ideal to travel to. I would go if it was in Denver or Phoenix. I have a slight chance of going if it is in SLC and 0% chance of going to Boise. I just don’t see any reason to.Anyway Boise is geographically in the Big Sky footprint. Vegas has no connection whatsoever to the Big Sky.

Just like visiting there. Easy to get around, clean, nice outdoor activities.
For hosting a conference tourney at makes no sense.
Have you been to Boise? Why not have it at Desert Diamond Arena where the Arizona Coyotes used to play? It is more or less sitting empty and the Phoenix metro area is a great place to visit as well as host a tournament. It’s the easiest big city in America to get around. The whole metro is on a grid system and there are many highways.
Unfortunately many times. Boise State was cool to visit 15 years ago but it is little more than a stop and spend the night on the way to Oregon and Washington place for me now.Have you been to Boise?
I might sometime. It is 70 degrees in Denver today and over the weekend I watched the #2 ranked basketball team Arizona break their record for the most regular season wins in their program history in Boulder. It’s my third time seeing them this season. I also went to their games against ASU in Tempe and against KU in Tucson a week before their game in Boulder. Adam Botkin the former Griz football player was there. The atmosphere in Boise looks disappointing in comparison but I should try it at some point.Almost game time
Enjoying a beer and burger at Diablo Saloon
Seeing some GRIZ fans hopefully many more at game. Go Griz
This is probably my 4th time coming to tournament in Boise and it is always great.
Give it a try sometime.
Sounds like your problem is comparing apples to oranges.I might sometime.
