Future Scheduling

Not trying to say we would make more money with an Away game, however I am saying we should be playing more FBS games for the sake of exposure. The Bison became well known across all levels of CFB primarily because they would routinely beat FBS, including P4 teams.
The Bison haven’t beaten an FBS team in almost 10 years. They have played 2 games over the past 9 years, both of which NDSU lost.

We are playing one this season. UM has typically only played one FBS game of any level every 4 years so the guys can experience one in their college careers while not sacrificing many home games. FBS teams won’t come to Missoula so scheduling them annually will mean sacrificing home games and the revenue that comes with them.
On top of most MW/lower PAC schools wouldn't schedule us cus theres a decent chance they'd lose.

P4 also pays more and offers more of the big time college football experience that these games are giving our players. We could schedule teams like ASU, Colorado, Utah and Minnesota to fit this.
Why not both? I think we should have 1 FBS game a year personally, I'd love to play Utah in 2027 (I think we both have an opening still for that season).

The reason would be the athletic department and the Missoula economy as a whole would be losing millions of dollars with less home games.

I think if we want to become more relevant and have the better chance of getting an invite up more exposure until the next round of Realignment would be key.

The AD is smart enough to not schedule FBS games that would not offset the revenue of a home game. As far as the Missoula economy, that may be an issue for Missoulians, but I'm damned tired of getting extorted every time we're in town for a game weekend.

They schedule one every 4 years that won’t offset the revenue of a home game so the guys get to have an FBS experience once in their college career.
