MBBALL Wildcats

Is Money a distraction, with the NBA hype he's gotten? This team is way to centered on him. Yes, he's talented, with tremendous potential.

Unfortunately, the chemistry and supporting cast just hasn't come together. Has the team collectively grown to just expect Money to will them to wins with his skills?

Either way, Money and this team have regressed. Plus, the lack of inside defensive presence and rebounder has been the main liability of this team.

I'll be pleasantly surprised, if this team gets to the semi finals in the conference tournament. They're missing so much. There's no all conference glue guy, like Moody and Pridgen were.

Money is a very talented player and he commands everybody's attention, sometimes, even his own teammates. He was so talented coming out of HS that the expectations have run quite high. All the talk of his NBA potential has been a distraction. He has also had the distraction of all the tragedy in his personal life. Is he an NBA talent? I'm not sure. However, what I do know is that it is hard to succeed as a team when one player has that much pressure heaped on them. My feeling is that he is trying hard to be a PG, when he really is not.

Couldn’t agree more. Last year Whitney was the spark that let Money be Money. I had hope that Travis would bring in a talented drop down, not necessarily to score but to keep defenses honest and let Money play the off guard.
What’s next for Money, who knows. This years team performance is disappointing for everyone. Will he enter the portal after this year? Most likely, but I’m afraid his stock will not be up to his value. Even going to a mid-major program he will have to deal with a new system, new environment, coaches and team mates. I wish the young man well and good luck, he’ll need it.
