But, as you’ve pointed out elsewhere, we recruited for the guys to run Haucks variant of the Joe Lee Dunn 3-3-5 which relies on quicker smaller d linemen vs Illinois states version which has bigger linemen. And if we have to fill holes in this off season we would be better to try and find players that fit the defense that our DC has been coaching for years and knows inside and out vs trying to find players that fit an entirely different version of the 3-3-5.
I wouldn't disagree, the fact remains they didn't win the NC and a team running a 4 man front did. Granted the loss fell solely on the kicker and not the defense.
Nope. Walk-ons are included in the 105, plus any walk-ons grandfathered in now. It’s not an FBS rule. It’s from opting into the big settlement.
105 is the limit plus any existing grandfathered players, so to add anyone, including walk ons, members of the team would have to leave?

Just to throw this out, but Montana does a great job of inflating all tackling numbers. This isn't just a Robbie thing.
As I've noted on here many times, the entire Big Sky was collectively soiling their pants in 2019 over Dante Olson's tackling numbers being fake. It isn't just a Robby thing.

Nope, it's knowing and pointing out that the assumptions are not accurate. I am fine with anything said that it true or based on reasonable assumptions. Nepotism, oh please. Not true. Robbie was a great and successful player and Tim a great and experienced coach. The tackle number stuff was largely BS and unsupported, I was told, on good authority. The legacy stuff on egriz was not accurate, I was also told on good authority. I was told by multiple players that they didn't care about the legacy number stuff or complaints anyway.

I debate and discuss all the time on Griz football. I also support what I say. I rarely announce myself the winner. But I know I'm right most of the time on on what is more factual, as opposed to opinion. Pretty good on opinions too, I usually don't speak up unless I know I know what I'm talking about
He LOVES the 3-3-5 and is positive the new DC is going to run it, though he’s never run it. Also, the version of the 3-3-5 GriznMN likes isn’t the one that we recruited for but he’s still sure it’s what we are going with.
