If this ends up working for Sac, and I highly doubt it, then this should signal to all FCS schools that every one of them can make it work, because it would be impossible to structure a worse deal.

The SS deal shows how desperate they and the president are to move up. Hope SS really does have some big donors willing to step up big, both now and for those multiple transition years. Would good players really want to go to SS with that conference and all of that cross country travel?

No, Sac is forfeiting all tv money to join the con. Not that it matters cus only you and a small handful of others watch the MAC. The MAC game with record viewership according to a 2020 article was in 2015 between N Illinois and Toledo. 850k watched it. The highest rated MAC con championship game had 1.3 mil between W Mich and Ohio. By comparison, the Griz/scat playoff game had 2.8 mil.
Do tell me, how are they going to make a killing financially? Or do you mean they are financially killing the football team.

Helen, I agree with you but by the time it happens it will be too late for the Griz to jump in. You haven't done enough homework on the deal or you might have a different perspective. All deals after this point will most definitely be worse.

Well brainiac, I don't expect Montana to ever make the jump. I also believe the Sac deal will be the worst, even for the handful of teams that will still move, they will learn from how fucking stupid Dr Wood is, was, will be.

We agree that Montana is never going to make the jump but that doesn’t mean the Sac State deal won’t work. And I couldn’t agree more with your evaluation of Wood…woke, racist idiot. But he found a path to the FBS for their athletics.

He hasn’t found a good path, or one that looks likely to have success. He probably further damaged SS football and maybe the school.

You obviously don’t understand the complexity of the deal and are just offering a knee jerk reaction. I’m not saying it’s a perfect scenario but they definitely have the funding and a solid chance to make it work.
I don’t have to like/respect the university president to see the potential.
