I haven't nor would I ever support a move to the mac. If this were a move to a legit fbs conference I'd call Dr. Panda a genius.
 
Sac just becoming a landing pad for all of the people fleeing the Bay Area. It will be interesting to see what happens to the city and the school. I have a feeling it won’t be for the better. Hate to see it but Cali is a mess.
 
If they somehow turn this into an invite to a more respectable and geographically fitting FBS conference, it will have been a good move, but this really feels like the equivalent of smashing your face with a hammer on the off chance you get to meet the love of your life at the hospital: pretty risky and low odds, but I guess it was worth it if you get what you want lol

In a interview with Dom Izzo of wday-tv out of Fargo the commisioner of the MWC said the big difference in taking the University of Northern Illinois over NDSU was everything was pretty equal but NDSU had the label of FCS on it.. basically the tie breaker..this year the school presidents voted unanimously to invite NDSU based on their brand name

Sacramento State at least now has FBS behind its name while U of Montana is still in FCS, just have to get your one foot in the door..

There is going to be 20-30 more schools move up before the Griz do and I estimate that number because I believe that to be the high water mark for FCS move ups, meaning i dont think Montana ever will.

Moving to the dying MAC is hardly leaving the JV. What an investment! Enjoy watching games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You guys really solved the issue of traveling to Montana though! How exciting 2026 promises to be for you at the left at home on the couch bowl.

Paying the same money, or a little more, than SMU paid to go to the ACC is without a doubt no way to go about this. They went against everything they said was a problem in the Big Sky too. They will be traveling even further and playing middle of the week games with no one in the stands. When it all falls apart, Wood should have to pay back all this money.

Their right on track for home coming 2028 vs. the Banana Slugz!
