Sac to the Mac

I mean there's going to be a lot more realignment in the 2030s (2032 I believe) so when you take that into account becoming FBS and then hoping to get invited to the PAC, CUSA or MWC depending on what happens with teams leaving or being poached seems to not be the worst strategy in existence.

The MAC is somewhat a joke. Kids back here that want to play DIV1 FB have several options. They are U of M. MSU CMU, WMU, and EMU. MSU and U of M are always chasing unicorns in Florida and Texas so unless you're a 4-5 star recruit in Michigan you'll end up at Central, Eastern or Western Michigan. There are no FCS teams within 200 miles of those DI Michigan schools. So beyond those schools it drops down to Ferris, Grand Valley, Northern, & Tech etc very good Div II programs.
The Mac schools will play their Body Bag games early on and collect the big checks. When they get to league play, they'll play a Wed, or Thurs, night game again to collect the TV revenue. Watch those games sometime, the cameras focus on the Bands because there aren't any fans in the stands. Maybe as many as a good HS game. I doubt many Sac St fans will fly east on Wed. night to watch the Hornets take on Ball St. The MAC is playing those type games to support their programs. There aren't any MAC games with 15-20K fans. I've taken several Michigan fans to Wa GRiz and they are blown away by the atmosphere. SAC St will have to have concerts after every game to get butts in the seats

Is Montana getting left behind, if so, what's next?? With the recent NDSU move to the MWC, Sac St to the MAC and reporting that Tarleton State and UC Davis are positioning themselves to move up to FBS, what becomes of UM. There would be less FCS teams to play, FCS will be watered down by 2030 and recruits that UM are getting now, will that be diluted by other teams going FBS. I know everyone is making a fuss on how much NDSU and Sac St are paying but they are choosing to pay to leave the FCS and are positioning themselves for 2030- What is UM doing, is there a master plan, is there a fund raising campaign?? Do we need new leadership to now for focus on 2030??

Somewhat? And, joining the MAC gives whom respect?
Sacramento is 75 miles or so from the Pacific Ocean. That Mid-American feel, y'know.

The days of teams belonging in regional conferences are long gone.. Palo Alto and Berkley are a long way from the Atlantic Coast, and the rest of those teams from that area..

You think folks from Los Angeles have alot in common with fans in Piscataway New Jersey?..you pissed about that too?

The football revenue for a Big 10 school is 5x-20x the football revenue for a MAC school. The extra money offsets the long road trips.
