Hauck not staying retired redefines his legacy

NDSU won the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2024 FCS National Championships….thats dominance.

Prior to joining the FCS, NDSU won the 1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1990 Division 2 National Championships….thats dominance.

North Dakota State beat 9 FBS teams while they were an FCS school, notably taking down 6 Power 4 teams….thats dominance.

Thinking the program is now “dominate” while going 2-6 against your rival is flat out laughable.
NDSU and SDSU have had up to $13K extra to give to lineman for the last 15 years because their state and boosters have provided that amount of money for NIL. Do you think that might be a reason for some of that "dominance"? How much have you contributed other than criticism? That's what you should be focused on. Our inability to compete is YOUR fault. See how that works now?

Good for Hauck. Always love reading comments when these things develop. Presumably grown men getting worked up about what another grown man decided to do for employment. None that affects anyone on this board even a quarter of a percent! And a decision nearly everyone I know would make for themselves and their family.

I don’t know what you dudes are bringing in every year. Not my concern. But let me strongly advocate that if an employer in your line of work comes calling you, and offers you two, three, maybe four times what you are currently making; take that job.

Love, love, LOVE the personal insults on here. Pretty sad state of what this fanbase has become when I am just making the point that 2.0 will be seen as his inability to win the big game once again, going 2-6 to the cats.
While avoiding pointing out the many, many positive points of the BH tenure at UM. Maybe you deserve the insults.

I didn’t insult you or even come close. You are simply wrong about Hauck.

Bringing back Hauck and the fallout with the current state of the team after Hauck’s retirement is a cross Haslam has to bear. This has been the worst decision so far of Haslam’s career.
I don't think not extending him was necessarily a bad decision, but his lack of foresight on what could transpire by the decision is worrisome.
