Kent Haslam and the University of Montana are in contract negotiations with Calgary Stampede HC and formed Griz great Dave Dickinson.

Dickinson was signed through the 2025 season but after that contract details are unclear. He has seen success coaching north of the border but there has been rumors that he’s ready to come back to his roots.

Kennedy, a proven and successful receivers coach was named HC after Bobby Hauck announced his unexpected retirement. It in unclear how he fits into the picture but there is a lucrative buyout option.

Would it actually be a good hire for the U of M? Yeah, serious question. Great coaching experience and football mind, but ties to recruiting areas? He hasn’t even been in the US for some time.
