Questions for tonight’s emergency GFP

Prolly a stupid question, but it has occurred to me to ask it, so I am going to. Any possible connection between Bodnar leaving and Hauck both leaving within such a short period of time?

Yea, it would be tough. If only we had someone who might fit the bill. Maybe there is some successful former receiver living in Missoula? It would be great if there was one that had played for the Griz and knew the culture, and gosh, it would be SO lucky if that same person had been somehow staying current on the team and scheme. Like, maybe if they did online breakdowns of the team's offense and was intimately familiar with the personnel. And had still maintained great relationships with the program that even as a journalist, they still get to go to the QB Club meetings. I'm just spit balling here. Tough to imagine finding someone like that...

Why do people think Akem could be successful coaching WRs ???

With the changing landscape of college football, why did Bobby choose to leave now? Why did he wait so long?

Who is this new "Head Coach" and will he be able to lead the program properly?

What does this mean for recruits? How many do you think leave/decommit and does this hurt the program temporarily or even long term?

I just don't understand the timing of his departure. It really doesn't look good.

Our special teams have been mediocre at best besides the electric return guys we've had over the past couple years, and I won't chalk the return game up to great coaching but rather great talent. In recent years I recall multiple onsides kicks that were kicked to us and not recovered, inconsistent FG kickers and punters (besides Buschini who left), multiple kickoffs going out of bounds at inopportune times, and many beloved squib kicks either going out of bounds or biting us in the ass for field position.
 
first off. Thank you Bobby Hauck. Despite what people may think he will always be a staple in the Montana program.

now question. Say this was a year later. Bobby goes 12-2. Loss to the cats and maybe a quarter finals exit. Hauck isn’t renewed.

We do the national search and we end up hiring Bobby Kennedy who in this hypothetical is say the WRs coach at Colorado.

Are people still pissed like they seem to be now?

Be even better if that person had a professional connection with local high schools around the state.
 
James, will you be offering your services as an analyst to whoever is the OC this coming season?

Is this another domino that fell in the eventual move to mountain west? I say yep and good for UM.
 
So if I'm doing the math in my head correctly, and feel free to let me know if I'm wrong, this should lead to another assistant coach opening right? Because Kennedy would have to replace himself at WR. But even if he does continue to coach the WR's, we should still have another staff opening right?
 
Hauck really wasn’t asked about whether the results of last year played a role in his decision. Do you think the two losses, Bozeman’s win and the response from fans, including the GFP, Schmidt etc played a role?
