You are aware that the FCS is smaller school? Kennedy probably will leave for the FBS if he has success here.

You aware that Montana is a big time FCS program Mrs Kennedy? We hope the best for your husband. But jumping from a career WR position coach to HC at the University of Montana is a leap. OC/DC time would be the norm. Maybe he's that good ma'am. Hope so.

You realize that being a WR coach at places like Texas, Colorado and Iowa pays way better than any O Coordinator at FCS or Mountain West School? He coached in two BCS Championship games and 17 bowls. His qualifications are pretty obvious. Griz are luck to have him!

He’ll leave with a 60-70% win record and a few 1 and done’s in the playoffs and go back to being what he is…a Fantastic wide receiver coach

He could have focused more on high school recruiting and player development and limited the portal additions but he chose to build a lot of the roster through the portal. That was an active choice and not something that was forced.

The staff has been very active with HS recruiting for 2026 and 2027. Check Payton's lists.

Hey, if your high water mark is 70% you’re probably a happy son of a bitch and good on you for it. I expect more and surprisingly I usually do better that my expectations. I also am a happy son of a bitch
