Hauck

Me thinks this has been in the works since the end of the season. Justin leaving early to "get more experience", Kennedy quickly named the interim, probably for a year or two till Justin comes back. Im guessing Bobby stuck around for one more recruiting cycle to make sure he didn't leave the cubbard bare.
"Cupboard".....can't believe autocorrect spelled it this way for me! 😡

I'm still just stunned by this news.

I still remember the day I met Bobby Hauck and he introduced himself to me. That was August 1981 in Miller Hall the day we moved in and he's still the same guy now that he was then. Flash forward to a conversation we had in the fall of 1986 when we had a conversation outside the Adams Center and he asked me what I wanted to do and I said I had no idea and when I asked what he wanted to do, he said he wanted to be a coach.

Well, he's been a damn good one!

I believe the program will find a way here, but man I for one am going to miss him.

He was a good coach who left on his own terms. He has nothing to be ashamed of and placed his mark on the program and BSC. He is doing something that many cannot. Reflecting and realizing his time has passed. He is passing the baton on his own terms. That is very commendable. His heart didn’t appear to be in it anymore and he probably realized he didn’t have the energy, nor the desire to continue. I can’t imagine the pressure. My only regret for him is that he never got a national championship. Close so many times.

Kennedy is not an interim. Hauck said he made the decision on Monday.

Bobby knows he cant beat the cats and he is leaving before he has to deal with that again next year. Losing to the cats is not a small matter to him nor should it be. Vegan pushed him out the door.
This is true to an extent…..if Bobby really thought the Griz could win it all next year I don’t see how he hangs it up. He sees the writing on the wall, he’s not dumb.
