Bobby Hauck a proven winner.

I think a few on here could learn a thing or two about why Vigen is dominating listening to this and contrasting with a know it all

Vigen is a great coach and his accolades are well deserved. But Griz fans have to at least recognize that Bobby has a done a pretty solid job in his return. I talked to someone close to Bobby and Bobby told him he really respects and likes Vigen. It’s a good rivalry with two good coaches and you can compliment one without disparaging the other.

Can you give us one example of someone leaving and starting for a team that has sniffed a national championship?
Marty Brown NDSU starting running back for the 2024 FCS National Championship and than transfered to the U of Miami and was a part time starter for the hurricanes this year as they finished 2nd to Indiana for the FBS National Championship, pretty good run for him so far..😂😂

I agree that "Bobby has done a pretty solid job".

Obtuse describes beefalo fans in more than one way…

Excluding JMU's two years in the '20's, heres the top four in the FCS in overall winning percentage from '20 through '25.

1st North Dakota State 70-14 83%
2nd Montana State 60-12 83%
3rd South Dakota State 69-15 82%
4th Montana 55-17 76%
5th and below, the other 120+ FCS teams.

Not surprising the 3 teams we're behind are the ones we struggle with the most, why I think we need to start building to beat them and we will naturally do well vs everyone else.

UM has beaten 2 of those teams in the playoffs and 1 in last 3 years. Struggle is not the right characterization.

We are 4-9 overall against them since Bobby 2.0 and have not beaten them at all on the Road. I think struggle is a perfect characterization, maybe add the caveat we have to be playing in Wa-Griz to have a chance.

What are the records of the others over that time period in head to head games?
When comparing records of MSU and the Dakota States vs each other since 2018:

MSU: Cats are only 1-9 against the Dakota States since 2018 with 2 NC losses. When we are added into the equation (as a top 4 FCS team) their record jumps up to 7-11. Gives them the following winning %:

vs Dakota States: 10%
vs Dakota States + UM: 38.9%

SDSU: 8-7 vs NDSU and MSU since 2018. When we are added their record jumps up to 10-8. Gives them the following winning %:

vs NDSU + MSU: 53.3%
vs NDSU, MSU + UM: 55.6%

NDSU: 11-5 vs the Bunnies and Cats since 2018, when we are added their record changes to 12-6. Gives them the following winning %:

vs SDSU + MSU: 68.8%
vs SDSU, MSU + UM: 66.7%

The Cats have as many wins vs SDSU as we have in the same time period (1) and the only thing we have over them is a win over NDSU in 2023.

How about road records.

I omitted the 2020 spring season because I don't think it matters/wasn't a real season.

5-3 Home
2-8 Away/Neutral

UM

0-8 Away/Neutral

NDSU

SDSU

6-3 Home
4-5 Away/Neutral

Beat me to it, at work so was breaking it down in parts and adding to my original post. I did include the 2020 year for NDSU and SDSU head to head as they did play each other.
