MBBALL Sac St!

At the end of the day, all that matters is 3 days in Boise. Would I like these guys to win a regular season title? Of course I would, and we still have a chance but we definitely hurt ourselves tonight. We’re home the next 2 weeks so we gotta capitalize on these opportunities and get some help along the way.
Totally agree. A Big Sky Conference title means barely more than a historical reference in Wikipedia. Finishing in the top two merits a tourney bye while a top 3-4 finish can have its benefits as well... though is dependent upon specific match-ups. Equally as important, but harder to measure, is which teams are peaking or at full-strength physically. Given current standings a lot can change 3-10 down the stretch. On paper, however, for the Cats and particularly the Griz (home vs. the Cats) the schedule tilts nicely for the Montana teams to claim the bye seeds.

We're solid this year, just have deficiencies. If we had Koch instead of isaak and diekhans instead of kepley we'd be very solid. Tyler Thompson is very good for a frosh, obviously money is elite, and Sawyer is rounding back into shape after being sidelined all off season with knee surgery. Connor Dick needs more run, hes the heart and soul from an energy standpoint. Aguino is playing at a elite level for a true frosh post player.

Brooklyn Hicks will be great once his turnover tendencies improve. Assuming he stays his senior year, he should round into a tough player for us. Athleticism is great, but he too is struggling with turnovers.

We are missing our best player (Bear Cherry), and are not a great team. Defense is improving, but still horrible. Somehow, there's a scare factor for opponents if Williams, Johnson, or Lavrenov can get going. This SAC team could go one and done in the conference tournament, or win it all. Neither would surprise me lol.

Not overly concerned with the loss here, SAC is way better at home than on the road. They also had a somewhat fluky shooting night aided by the Griz coming out flat. That said, anyone familiar with the injury status of Courtney Anderson Jr and/or Betts going forward? We could use them down the stretch.

There is literally not a great team in the BSC.
