Bobby Hauck a proven winner.

As far as the Dakota States go no Griz coach has won in Brookings or Fargo it isn’t just a Bobby issue.
Correct, but it's not just the Dakota States we struggle against on the road. We're 3-15 against teams who finished that respective year with a Winning record in his 2.0 era. And at this point it's almost a garunteed loss if we have to go on the road in the Postseason, Bobby has only ever won 1 Away game in the Playoffs during both his stints.

Let’s say your contention in true. Ok, bad luck or bad strength and conditioning? Seems like the Cats had some injuries as well. That is the game. Next man up, but apparently there isn’t a next man ready in the program? Sorry, everyone knows the saying about excuses. They are just like a..
Spot on! Sick of hearing the excuses almost as much as I’m sick of seeing the Cats kick the Griz ass as of late on the field and within the state in recruiting!

How many other coaches have won road games against those schools in the playoffs? The FCS playoffs are notorious for going chalk and the home team winning.

NDSU has lost twice in Fargo to Illinois State this season and JMU in 2016 semis. Illinois State almost beat NDSU at a neutral site in 2014. Carson Wentz executed the 2 minute drive to perfection. SDSU also beat NDSU at a neutral site game but that is it for playoff NDSU losses at home or a neutral site.

Good or great teams win regardless of where the game is played.

Excuses are for losers, blaming the ref is for losers, blaming the weather is for losers.

What is NDSU's record on the road in the playoffs? That's an honest question, I don't have it in front of me.

Yeah, since Bobby came back in 2018, the #1 and #2 teams are 33-4 in the rounds before the championship, and 3 of those 4 losses were #2 Weber in 2018 in the quarters, #1 SHSU in 2021 in the quarters, and #2 Sac State in 2022 in the quarters, all arguably overrated. The juggernaut teams (NDSU, SDSU, and JMU) went 21-1 in that timeframe when ranked #1 or #2, with this year's NDSU team being the only one that lost.

I've said this before that the Semifinal loss to the cats wasn't the inexcusable one. It was the loss in Missoula that took away the #2 seed.

3-2 all time if you don't count the 2020 spring season.

3-3 all time if you do.

Outside of 2020, they've only ever gone on the road in the playoffs in 2 seasons, 2010 and 2023.

Post one picture of Haucks national championship ring or rings or delete this thread immediately!

Hauck is the reason my boyfriend and a lot of his friends left the program. They are on the inside, they deal with him everyday and they know its never going to happen so they went somewhere they have a chance to achieve what they work so hard for.
Can you give us one example of someone leaving and starting for a team that has sniffed a national championship?

Exactly. The greatest dynasty in FCS history is .500 on the road in the playoffs. If we are judging coaches based on road playoff records in the FCS, then every coach apparently sucks.

You're right, the game that needed to be won was in Missoula for the seeding. If the Griz had lost at home in the semi's, I would call it a much bigger deal than losing in Bozeman.

Zac Crews comes to mind, but I would say that was a special situation, to put it mildly.

BH is one of the most successful FCS coaches in history. 13-2 and run to the semifinals is a successful year, without a doubt.

It’s just the two losses are just too painful to the Griz faithful. That pain is hard to ignore.

Was he ever part of the team?

One could argue the slight he feels, and Jones feel, might have more to do with their success than anything. Good for them. We need overlooked Montana boys with a chip on their shoulder beating the odds through hard work. Has always been the core of our program.

I also don’t want to ignore the losses. They better hang around as scars for this team, school, city, fanbase until we are back on top.

I don’t have enough knowledge on S&C other than people raving about Sean Herrin forever. Seems he’s really good at what he does.

I think a huge thing we got going over here is the partnership between Herrin and the team and former Cat and NFL guy Dane Fletcher and the Pitt. Dane and Sean are giving our players elite training in regards to strength and conditioning and it seems to be a great partnership.

It’d be like if you guys hired an elite S&C coach and were able to pair him with the expertise and money of a Brock Coyle. It seems to pay dividends.
