GRIZ at the AO

Okay so I was fortunate to spend a couple of weeks in Australia and 4 days at the Australian Open. I saw 3 men with GRIZ hats on, and all 3 got a huge "Go GRIZ" from me. Anyone of those 3 someone on the board??
I wasn't there, but question for you - is the flight there as horrible as everyone says? Never been on a plane longer than eight hours...sounds awful.

Awesome. Cool city, venue, and tourney. My wife and I went last year. We also went to Indian Wells and Wimbledon. We both liked Wimbledon the best. I'm sure you had an awesome time, particularly with your strong tennis background. We have watched everyday on tv.

17 hours from Seattle. But we broke it up by doing 2 days on Oahu on the outbound and now we're in Kauai for 5 days on the return. If you do it that way, the flights are manageable and the times work perfectly to avoid jet lag

We do a week at Indian wells every year, and I think it's better than the AO

That sounds manageable. Makes the jet lag easier to stomach. I love Kauai. My wife has a conference at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu every year. I get a tan. She gets smart. Win-win.

Flew to Thailand through Qatar. Fu-king miserable but we flew economy and i aint got no status😁. Alabama to Dallas to Qatar to Bangkok. 20+ hrs of flight time both ways, the return a little longer. Don't ask me why they didn't fly us over the pacific. Flights set up by my company.

Well, you’re a closet ‘Scat fan so she knows getting you smart is a lost cause. Might as well get a tan!

Business class is a must for any flight over 4 hours and even more so for flights across the water. If you can afford it, I highly recommend First Class. Number one, less likely to have babies crying. Number two, location, location, location. Number 3, service, service, service.

Interesting. We liked AO better, but we like Indian Wells too. But Wimbledon was even better. We had the fancy package at Wimbledon too. Loved the grounds and the tradition. My wife likes and follows Taylor Fritz. I follow Morgan Riddle.
The U.S. Open is a must see as well.
