2026 Roster as is with signings

The Griz need a leader at center to call protections and handle snaps. Jack D’Ambra has strong technique, intelligence, communication skills and experience playing center in addition to other offensive line positions.
Where did he develop all these skills you're talking about. It seems like he wasn't even a starter at San Diego of the pioneer league. Is that not correct?

He played in 31 games at San Diego, a lot of them at center. I would guess centers who have played in over 30 games at the FCS level are not that easy to find as transfers.

He was a starter back in 2023 and was an honorable mention pioneer league player. It doesn't look like he was even a starter for USD since and only played in four games in 2025 as a backup. I'm not saying he won't be a good player but his credentials are far from being projected as a solid starter in the BSC.
Not sure where you are getting this 31 games number.

He played in 9 games as a freshman, 11 as a sophomore, 7 as a junior and 4 as a senior. 9+11+7+4=31.

He was a starter his sophomore year. Since then he's played down the depths chart at USD which plays in the non scholarship pioneer league. I'm sure he'll be a solid depth player. But coming into the griz system with one year to play after not even being a starter doesn't exactly imply home run from the transfer portal.

The Ivies don’t have athletic scholarships and the no. 2 team in Ivies, Yale, almost got the Cats in Bozeman. It looked to me that he had been hurt several years.

Looks like he played first 4 games and started when you look at the participation. Then no more. That would suggest injury and/or a combination of injury and sitting himself to preserve a redshirt year since he didn't take one. You can play 4 and redshirt.

The pioneer league has a track record against the BSC. I don't want to be the guy downplaying the kids ability. I'm sure he'll be a pretty good player. But this does illustrate how hard it is to get solid OL players from the portal.

“Transfer Portal Offensive Linemen 6'3 300 Lbs Started as a true freshman. Started 30+ games through four years. Played all 5 positions on offensive line”

He was a captain. I read elsewhere that he had started at all 5 OL positions. Offered by a bunch of schools including UTEP and Tenn Tech.

Some of you are grossly misjudging him. Do your research.

He has plenty of experience playing in FCS games at center. What else do people want? JD Quinn isn’t coming back here through the transfer portal.

I did my research and in my opinion he will be a stud on the offensive stud with DOLA.

The kid is a stud. He also came here for a reason- Brent Myers is a great coach and has an excellent eye for talent.

Trying to find a center in the portal shows that the development level at this position is poor. We can also see this with last years play at center.

We have plenty of fuck tard cats fans over here but you’re climbing the ranks to #1 quickly. He started as a freshman and sophomore and then got hurt as a junior and dinged up last year too. This isn’t rocket science. How is this so difficult for you.

Haha are these cat fans weird and fuck tards both? I appreciate that I am #1. :) I must really make your day. There are also a lot of snowflake, crybabies that can't stand to hear anything objecive.
I'm sure the guy will be a solid addition to the rotation. But the point is that if you're trying to build a dominant offensive line that is championship caliber you're not going to find it with players that spent the last two seasons in the pioneer league on the bench, with one season left to play, injured or not.
