Facilities, strength program, analytics

Your reply to 5280 showed the link and photo. So you did post it. I understand concern about his name surfacing but if you were so concerned why reply and link the photo yourself? And then....continue on the ramble about the unfortunately revealed son with more personal info most people could care less about. After picking his high schools and colleges for him what kind of underwear did you let him wear?
No. I didn't post it. I showed you where 5280 posted it. Don't be a dick. The link was already there. It had a photo of my son. His name. You called attention to it.

You doh't even have the courtesy or balls to apologize for falsely accusing me of posting the link, when 5280 had posted. You are asshole. Get back to looking for typos. I hope I find out who you are sometime. Maybe it's time to get the old investigating machine going.

This is a sad rationale for doing something. Do it right or don’t do it at all.

The reality is it’s ugly as sin, while simultaneously being in one of the most gorgeous spots on campus. Quite the juxtaposition.

What’s done is done and I understand its utility, but the whole thing feels and looks inferior to me.
You've made your point over and over. It is your opinion, no more.

Their nutrition program is top tier. They have 2 full time nutritionists that only work with the football team. They are also a way larger university than Montana with a way larger budget.
By most measures, ASU is the largest University in the U.S.

+ massive contracts with the Pentagon. They deliver a bunch of online courses for the military.
until recently, the university of montana provided vital online foreign language learning courses for the military and other governmental organizations. they had quite a large faculty, with some being located remotely. then trump and musk came along and they got doge'd. roughly 50 jobs at um were axed because of it.

Interesting I didn't know that. Most language training occurs at the Presidio (Defense Language Institute).

this is from the mansfield center website: "serving as a Department of Defense Language Training Center since 2011. We have taught thousands of service members, government civilians, and students in critical LREC skills."

Per ASU they are currently teaching 11,000 military veterans online and 20,000 veterans are students at ASU combining online and in person students. That’s larger than UM’s total undergraduate and total student enrollments.

Air War College and the Army's Command and General Staff College both offer on-line programs through ASU...probably more as well, but those are the big ones I know about.

NDSU doesn't even have a stadium. They are a tenant of the Fargo Dome which is not on campus.
NDSU has ten FCS National Championships. They consistently recruit and develop elite athletes.

Whatever they are doing, it's the right thing because they have 18 players on NFL rosters from starters to reserves, UM has 2. I don't think that being a tenant of the Fargo dome has anything to do with their recruiting.

Sure, UM has a great stadium, decent facilities, even top five in the FCS... okay, the locker room is pretty sick, I'll give you that, but the rest? If UM wants to actually become a real tiger, not a paper tiger, the success needs to be there. The player development needs to be there. NDSU doesn't have too many people transferring out.

it all boils down to one word, success. Yeah I have heard the argument. 113-2 isn't bad. Finishing #3 isn't bad. No it's not, but it's not Conference champion. It's not National Champion, and it's not In the first/second/third round the (Name your team) selects snuffy smith from the University of Montana.

Sorry don't mean to rant.

Appreciate the rant. I do get a little tired of everyone saying "why don't we just do what NDSU does." Theres been 130+ teams trying to for it for 15 years now and for some strange reason, no one has come close. Wonder why. Before you say SDSU and MSU, they have 3 nattys between them compared to NDSU's 10. They're not close, just the only other teams in the FCS to win a natty. What NDSU has built no other FCS team will ever be able to match.

No FBS or likely college football team from any level will be able to match it moving forward with the transfer portal and NIL. There is too much parity now.
