It's Official: Bodnar Stepping Down.

He has sure created a lot of success in whatever he does for such a lack of intellect,
success for himself. not so much his employers - his division at ge closed right about the time he got the montana job. um has been pretty meh under him, but he did manage to save one petulant old man as a fan by allowing hauck to be hired.

Kem was talking about Sheehy, not Bodnar.

Now watch. There's going to be a bunch of peopke that liked him at UM all the sudden decide he's a horrible person. All because he doesn't have the letter R next to his name. Buying into the propaganda and BS. Its what we do in this country whether you're an R or a D towards the other side.

He's an independent
No party affiliation
Quite possibly couldn't win the dem primary
A lot of dems don't like that
If you're tired of politics as usual you might want to see what he says.

But you are mostly right. So many in Montana vote on party not on person. Their minds are made up.
Independent? No party affiliation? Aren’t all current Independents in Congress, caucusing with the Democrats?

Bodnar may shooting for Governor.

Let's be realistic. Bobcats fans, R or D, will be united in voting against Bodnar. This looks to me like a Ross Perot split the vote chase, only he would be splitting the D vote, given Tester's backing and being from Missoula. There is end game positioning going on here. Guesses anyone? Hoops says Governor. What say you?

Would you not vote for a candidate that was a former cat school president if he/she aligned with your political beliefs? 👀

In the last 12 years it looks like tuition at UM and MSU has doubled for out of state students.
These are state universities created to serve the people of Montana. In state tuition at Montana universities is considerably lower than the universities you've suggested are more affordable.

Most Montana taxpayers would disagree with subsidizing the education costs of out of state students.

Atleast comparing NDSU and UM, for in state UM is slightly less expensive, not considerably lower. They are about $700 a year difference in price. Your point still stands though that UM is raising out of state tuition so in state tuition can be more competitive.

Certainly some will vote based on that shallow criteria, but could also depend who he would be running against. There are some real doozies on either side.

Some-to-many at MSU have a lot of respect for President Bodnar. He's done a great job stabilizing um, growing in some areas, brought um to R1 status, excellent grad school/well beyond MSU's, has a killer VPR (under appreciated! griz: show this man some love!), showed that he can make some hard decisions, isn't short sighted on a 13-2 record, understands that only 1 or 2 plays in each Cat griz could have flipped the games - easily. Being the President of any academic institution that doesn't have STEM all over it is very challenging. Given the circumstances, he's done great.

His resignation letter is ewwwww. His base supporters won't care, but gives great ammo for the 15/20% of swings he'll be fighting for.

My 2 cents: He'd do way better running for Governor than Sen/House and could be an excellent Governor.

School president, probably more based on performance. Who wants to run against Waded Cruzado?

Look at that Republican attack ad on Bodnar. There's no mention of the Griz. The same chuckleheads who frame everything as red shirt v.s blue shirt didn't mention the Griz. The poor secnario for them would be CAT fans rolling out their mony mony diatribe on social media for this election. And they could Daines is Mr. Bobcat. He won't be telling Griz fans to eat shit.
