I was reading an article on espn that was saying tampering has been huge everywhere.

Based on reports surrounding the transition following the end of the 2025 season, Iowa State saw a massive exodus of players after coach Matt Campbell departed for Penn State, with reports indicating that as few as 16 to 17 players remained on the roster.

• Massive Exodus: More than 40 to 50 players entered the transfer portal, leaving the team with a severely depleted roster.
• Minimal Retention: Reports in late December 2025 and early January 2026 suggested only about 16-17 players were definitely remaining.
• Player Departures: Over 19 players were reported to be following Matt Campbell to Penn State.
• Impact: The departing players included nearly all starters, including quarterback Rocco Becht and key offensive and defensive players.

While some early reports suggested a "crisis" with extremely low numbers, updated reports noted that despite the high number of transfers, over 30 players, including walk-ons, remained with the program."
