Ramos into the portal

No, I said he had returned UM to dominance and was pretty close to where he was when he left. Can you not read? Hauck has the 3d best team in the nation. 2 seasons ago, he had the best team in MT and went to the national championship game. Do you have no memory? Hauck dominates the Portal compared other the Cats. The Portal is more important than in-state recruiting.
If by dominated the portal you mean forced to rely on the portal because the HS recruiting classes haven't been able to develop and replace the outgoing seniors/transfers, then sure, Hauck has dominated the portal. I kind of enjoy watching the Rent-A-Team from a distance, it's a fun twist on things.

According to Kyle Hansen, Ramos is headed to Iowa State...

JMHO, but he's going to either get eaten alive in the B10, or he won't see the field. Love the kid, but he's just not B10 material...he was playing exactly where he belonged.

We’ll have to see what size Ramos is at in August. Iowa State’s strength program is ran by someone with a kinesiology degree instead of journalism.

I don't think his issue was size. But again, just my opinion.

Hope he tears it up...
I think it would help him to gain 20-30 pounds of muscle when it comes to eating up blocks and stopping the down hill runs but that is just my opinion.

I also think our S&C program would be better if Bobby would let the guy currently occupying the position do what HE feels needs to be done instead of micromanaging the process...

I think they go hand in hand aka having a journalism major running the strength program means Bobby is free to give his input because Bobby’s degree is just as relevant. We had a kinesiology major who did not agree with Bobby interfering with the strength program. This was corroborated by Andrew Schmidt on X formerly known as Twitter.

Nope, dominates the Portal. The days of MSU living without the Portal are coming to an end. And, my impression is that the Griz, like many/most teams in FBS and FCS football, now believe they can do better, or much better, in the Portal than from high school. There is a huge amount of talent, much of which is proven, in the Portal. The Cats are behind the times.

I noticed that Harper specifically thanked the strength coach, by the way.

Schmidt generally doesn't know what he's talking about. That's why clueless people like you follow him.

The Cats don't live without the portal, they just don't rely on transfers to reshape their roster year after year. There's a difference.

The Cats are so far behind the times that they, and let me check my notes here to make sure I'm correct, just won the national championship and beat the team that dominates the portal twice in once season. What a horrible place to be. If only MSU could win the off-season championships like you do here. ;)

I’m going to give some free advice. Write out what you are thinking and read it out loud 5 times before posting it. At this point I’m starting to feel bad for you.

The days of MSU living w/o the portal are coming to an end? Hoops, you can wish in one bucket and sh!t in another and I can guarantee you which one will fill up faster.

He can't help himself...he has proven it for years. Compulsive delusiveness.

Yes, that's what I said, and it's true. Learn something about the game of football and what's going on with football now.

As of Jan. 10, here are some Portal addition numbers (and the Portal signings are obviously still going on). Indiana 12, Texas Tech 14, Penn St 29, Texas AM 14, ASU 19, OK St 33.

That was 3 days ago. Look how many Griz signed in those 3 days.

Colorado has at least 34 players in the Portal. Do you think 34 seniors in high school will replace them?

How many for Cats signed from Portal. The world is passing the Cats by.

Speaking of ASU, are any Griz portal additions making public comments like this?

Pheonix native Dillingham is one of the best young HCs in the country. He just signed a significant contract extension. He'll have NFL offers.
I wouldn’t be surprised if in 10 years we can’t remember a time when ASU wasn’t good like how Clemson is now. There is no reason ASU with Kenny Dillingham can’t become a perennial contender. Kids will come to play for you if you have a solid game day environment and they trust the coaching staff Dillingham has stated.

CURT CIGNETTI: "No, I think it helps us a ton, but that's what we look for, too. When I came, you know, it was a quick process, a three-day hiring process. When I got here, we had 10 offensive starters in the transfer portal, and we had one returner on defense. So we were down to 40 scholarships by day three.

So we needed to hit the portal hard. And we signed 22 guys that all have been two- or three-year starters with consistent production. I knew we had flipped the roster.

And then every year, as your high school recruiting builds up, you kind of start to wean down a bit from the portal. You'll never be at a point where you don't engage with the portal. And this year we'll take a few less than we took last year and we took a few less last year than we took the year before."

MSU is in the place where they've weaned down on the portal because the high school recruiting has built up. So they take transfers in as needed. I guess Cig must not know what he's doing though. Football world has passed him by.

MSU has not weaned down in the Portal. They never took 22 in a year from the portal. They are missing out on not upgrading using the portal. Just watch in the next few years. And they are not Indiana.and Cats lost by 46 to team that that lost by 34 to Indiana. I don’t play this score comparison game, but 80 is a lot of points.
