How long until he abandons ship? Does he make it through the season? Does Sac keep him more than one season? Maybe the question is should they keep him more than one season?

If Sac State Football is any indication then he’s gone after this season. They don’t necessarily hire the best coaches, they just hire the ones that give them the most PR.
He may actually be a better coach than what is showing right now. Earlier in the season they were much more ragtag than they are now. They have improved. They will beat some teams that they shouldn't this year, just on the talent they have. Right now, they have 13 individuals who haven't learned how to spell team yet. They are a talented bunch, but they were mostly all cast offs from other teams, and they were thrown together in a hurry last spring. Mikey Williams is fun to watch, and he scores a lot of points, but he is not efficient at all. He shoots 35% from the floor, 27% on 3s. He seems to be out of control more often than a point guard should be. He plays nothing like his coach did in college or the pros. I can see why he is on his third school. He may well be on his fourth next year.

I feel that they should give Bibby at least three years to prove himself as a coach. They have said they have $25 million in NIL money sitting out there waiting to be used. They should be #1 in the country by year three.

Surely you jest. Bibby and his staff have no college coaching experience and it continues to show. They play no defense and as stated do not play as a team. Whatever they are spending on NIL money is being wasted. The big man Cherry is injured and no idea when he might play. He would have been a tough match up, but outside of him they lack talent. Williams is now on a mission to get stats. Like the rest of the team he does not play any defense and does not make his teammates better. The freshman Lavrenov has potential, he was signed by the interim coach from last year, not Bibby, and I would guess other schools will go after him. Knew Bibby was going to be a bad hire and he confirmed that when the first thing he said to the media was “it is going to be like Deion with celebrities coming to the games”. First thing you want to hear your new coach say. Then Williams tells the school paper he is here to get to the NBA. If he had that talent the team would not have one D1 win. He also struggled against better talent like UCLA and CAL. Sac State has really struggled since they moved on from Katz and didn’t hire Laird.

Crazy to think that a few years and many poor decisions (some based off bad advice) ago Williams was the #1 ranked prep hooper in the country. I really thought he’d thrive under Penny, but his gun charge derailed that opportunity. Guess we’ll see if Bibby has what it takes to harness the kids potential and get him to the league.

Mikey's single biggest barrier to make a team in the NBA is himself. Not many coaches will put up with his antics on the floor and off of it. His talent isn't big enough to overcome his attitude. If Bibby wants to have a team in the future, he will put that kid in the portal. The best player on that team right now is Lavrenov. They do have physically talented players, but they don't seem to be playing off the same script right now. I still think they will win a few games on their talent alone. The book is still out on Bibby, IMHO.

How many six two shooting guards make it in the NBA. Let alone those that shoot less than 30% from three in college and don’t even attempt to play defense. As for Bibby the track record for a coach with his lack of coaching experience is not good.

None. I always thought Bibby was an intelligent point back when he was in college and the league though that was about the time I quit following the NBA. Evidently osmosis doesn't work with his players.

Again, they thought the PAC12 wanted this shit show?

Where are the wins they shouldn't have gotten among Dominican, Jessup, Presbyterian and San Francisco State? They aren't playing many close games even and I get they have three P4 losses. Isn't Shaq their GM too? Yeah, that's all going to last. Like I said with football, they won't go anywhere until they fire Woody. He's gone from a clown to a cancer.

There's zero question that Bibby knows the game better than any of us. He's got talent on that team, and you've got to give credit where it's warranted -- the Hornets have surprised some BSC fans this season, and the only question is whether they can sustain how they played last weekend and make it happen through February and in to March.

I agree....We still have to win a road game for Christ sake...lol...but, our situation is a lot better than most thought earlier in the season...Griz til I die seems to think that Mikey (not a convict...not even convicted of anything) is the difference, disregarding 2 time Player of the Week, Prophet Johnson and Mark Lavrenov....That kind of thinking got you beat last Saturday...
