You're not following very well are you. We lost. Like i said, depends on the definition of greatness that you're afraid to state the parameters of yourself. Yes, for a brief moment in the 3rd quarter of the scat semifinals game, Montana was great, before completely falling apart. That was the last time they were great.

You're not. All I am doing is gauging what others think is great. My read on you is that beating MSU is great, winning 13 games is not.

Reading is fundamental and i think your skills are lacking. 13 wins is great but that was before we lost to the scats. You asked when the LAST time the Griz were great. Again, you're not following very well are you.

So did the Griz have a great season or not? You are the one over analyzing the question to a specific moment. My question was a general big picture.

No, the program itself was last great prior to 2011. Since then, this program has not been great. We've had "great teams" scattered through various seasons since then, but the program as a whole has not been great from the standard everyone expects or desires us to be.

Everyone has a different opinion on what great is but I generally agree with you that the last time the program was great was before 2011. 2010 season we missed the playoffs so if you don’t want to include Pflu you have to go back to 2009. That is probably the correct answer because while we reached the semis in 2011, the sanctions that occurred that season led to scholarship loss which made it more difficult to be competitive.

You obviously disagree but some people would consider boat racing our 2 biggest rivals at the time and beating a 4 time defending national champion on ESPN in front of the record attendance at the time at WaGriz to be a great season.

Ok, finally a little more clarity on your question. Yes, the griz were great this year. Unfortunately 2 times we had to play a scat squad that was greater. This doesn't take away from all the great things this team did this year for me. Have we been greater in the past? Yes, but we're still great. But if nattys are the only measuring stick of success for some fans then the Griz have been epic failures for 98.4% of the teams existence.

You obviously want me to believe that going 8-5 and getting drubbed in the playoffs by one of the same "biggest rivals" is great. In no world is that great.

I don’t want you to believe that. I am saying people’s opinions of great differ and some people would place more emphasis on the highs and ignore the lows which would make 2015 appear to be better. The 2 rivals I was referring to were EWU and MSU. We never boat raced NDSU. The game here came down to the final 2 seconds and the game in Fargo we were boat raced as you alluded to.

I would think it difficult to find anyone that believes that 2015 was a great season.
