New streak is starting, and this is likely the first of multiple championships, partially thanks to the watered-down FCS. NDSU had been holding them down, but they couldn't maintain that level forever. And MSU and the Bozeman community have committed 110% to this program every single year, which I saw first-hand. I'm not around the Missoula scene much nowadays, but I guarantee the UM football games and community are not nearly the epicenter of the Missoula world anymore like Cat games are here.
We'll have to do what the Cats started doing in the 2000s, or what SDSU did in the 2010s: retool the culture and build it up year over year. And that won't happen with Bobby, so it'll be a wait. We're in purgatory in the meantime. Adjust your expectations.
Or we just wait out the inevitable move-up and hope we both become irrelevant

Congrats to the Montana boys who achieved their dreams. We watched these kids grow up and to see them be national champions brings me great joy. Wish it were our Montana boys, but maybe next year it will be!

I work with an NDSU grad, and I tell him every year that NDSU does God's work, handing out heartbreak to MSU. Especially since we're not capable of being the ones to do it.

Yes (4 and 1) and a sure win! The Bird QB knew that and slammed his helmet down. 2 missed extra points! That Bird QB had heart!
We, the Griz lost the same way - A missed FG and a touch down called back and the kittens had a lucky undeserved win in Missoula Brawl and in Tennessee .
