And it's the same when I go to Missoula. Always make a point to wear at least a Cat hat. Get a few looks but never any ill will.

He passed away a couple years ago and the ESG GCG chants have overwhelmed any positive feelings I once had for MSDUI. There are good Montanans and bad Montanans. Cats are the latter.

This! Trust me, some Griz fans have mental issues too. I have close Griz friends, know a few former players well, and respect their choice to wear silver and maroon. The posters here today complaining about ESGGCG and following up with FTC really need counseling.

How do you feel about rape U? This is what I've been trying to articulate; it's childish behavior to poke at both real and perceived shortcomings of your rival to boost your self esteem. An eye for an eye & a tooth for a tooth leaves us blind & looking like and NDSU fan. (couldn't resist). Griz fans, I wish you all well. I hope you have no more coaches & players leaving. I hope Bobby changes the D scheme. I hope for your injured players to heal fully. I hope MSU can bring home a natty tonight to. See? You can have your cake & eat it to.

For the most part we’ve all got friends on both sides. And those friends are great people. Unfortunately there are fans on both sides that as I pointed out earlier, live vicariously through their teams. Which is why I don’t root for the cats nor would I expect them to root for the Griz. 🤷‍♂️
 
Hope Montana boys show out, stay healthy but as a team? I hope they get crushed on the scoreboard. Florida isnt home rooting on Miami. Coca Cola isnt rooting on a good quarter for Pepsi. Ya'll are lying if you say youre for the Cats, fake asf

The game I went to Bozeman for was Rob Ash’s last game coaching MSU. It was beautiful and I was delusional enough at the time to believe every Cat Griz game was going to be like that one and the previous 2 where I was a student at UM. MSU decided to question to status quo and move on from Rob Ash. The rest is history. We all know how the Cat Griz game has gone since Rob Ash left.

Really? Because the MSU fans that I met in Bozeman and that came to Missoula for the 2 games I was a student were a great time. I was in a bad mood in 2016 but that was from the game and not the fans. I also have some friends now that recently graduated from MSU and are currently in Nashville for the game. I think most Griz fans have Cat fans in their life.

💯I'd root for the cats if their fans didn't do their stupid chant when their team isn't playing the Griz, but they do sooo.......go birds.
 
I'm rooting for cat fans to get bed bugs at their hotels, flights cancelled and the runs right before kick off!
All joking aside the players and coaches have worked hard to create a great team that will probably win tonight. I used to let their fans chanting and the number 41 and various other cat actions bother me, however it is not that big of deal in the grand scheme of things.
Good luck to both teams hope it is a great injury free game.

The “rape U” shit is just that, pure shit. It never was true, but has been carried on by the likes of Krakaur and idiot cat fans who refuse to look at the facts.

I have only heard someone use that term in person to describe UM once and it was someone who was drunk at the Colorado vs Colorado State football game in 2017. It isn’t true and is out of date. Beau Donaldson hasn’t been a UM student since before the 2013 season, it could be even longer than that. If you look up where Beau Donaldson has been since prison it is even stupider. He has been around the Bozeman area ever since he was released.
