Trinidad Chambliss--Mississsippi QB

He had a few rushing attempts in the game but was not their starter.
Just over two years ago this player had two carries for a net 3 yards against the Griz playing for Ferris State. Today he started at Quarterback for Ole Miss against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and beat them. He believed in himself. The portal era and the NIL of today’s college football helped this player rise to the top and perform on the biggest stage. Good for him and I am a big fan. Griz would do well finding a few dudes like this who believe in themselves and love to play ball.

All true, but he’s an absolute unicorn in the NIL era…there’s 500 guys who flame out for every Chambliss….that being said, I LOVED watching him destroy Georgia last night with his legs and his arm…was a thing of beauty.

After following past Griz players that leave and end up in shit places in the FBS and get to actually play in games with 3,000 fans at their home games or end up at good places and rarely play I can’t imagine they look back and think they made a good decision.

You probably thought about it more than they did.

Riley Wilson is probably the best case of any Griz player who left, Wilson ended up at #16 Arizona Wildcats. He had 27 tackles in 2025 NO sacks or INT’s, mostly on special teams. Heck as a Griz I believe he had more tackles in just 3 games with the Griz with sacks and INT’s. If he would have stayed in Missoula I firmly believe he would have been playing in the NC for the Griz and been an All American and on NFL teams radar. Now he has buried his Football career after tonight’s game in the Holiday Bowl.

Sounds like a former very good, Griz linebacker…

He missed a couple games. But he is key part of their defense. 22 tackles 27 assisted tackles. 7 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. He had a good year on a good team.

I went on Arizonas stat sheet and that’s all they said he had in 2025. Hope he plays tonight

I watched him a couple of weeks ago he seems to be enjoying himself ...he had a great
game and seemed to be very much a part of the starting Wildcats D...
