Yeah except he got hurt..It was Ford a few years ago who was going to get drafted in the 3rd round.

He will make an NFL roster. Reynolds, Hilliard and Green. He's as good or better than they are, with another year to go. And they had better OL's to run behind.0% chance Gillman ever makes an active NFL roster.
Turn on the TV, watch some other teams.
Neither of you are right. He might make an NFL roster and he might not. I like his chances with his skillset if he stays with the Griz next year but a lot of it will come down to which pro team he goes to because he will get an NFL opportunity. If the scheme is a poor fit or there are just too many running backs ahead of him on the depth chart on whichever NFL team he goes to, that will hinder his chances. He will make an NFL roster. What is your reasoning? The only thing I think he could get more experience in is pass protection which is going to happen next year with Ah Yat’s progression. Eli Gillman has the ability to finish runs strong and doesn’t shy away from contact. He has had multiple 50 yard plus runs showing explosive speed. His football iq in relation to reading blocks quickly and hitting cut back lanes decisively is elite. The FCS has also had more running backs make NFL rosters than other positions. In addition to the former Griz Hoops listed, look at Isaiah Davis from South Dakota State, 5th round pick and running back on the Jets for someone currently in the league to compare Gillman to.Zero chance.
Zero chance he won't make the NFL.Zero chance.
Lacks explosive speed, runs soft, and has limited pass blocking skills. Perhaps his greatest asset is his pass-catching abilities. All that aside, running backs, unless elite, are undervalued in the NFL compared to years past. What is your reasoning? I disagree about running soft and lacking explosive skills. He had an 89 yard run. Idk how that can happen without explosive speed. I agree that his pass catching skills are a strong asset. Explosiveness is about the negative plays, which he has a ton of. He rarely gains tough yards. People want to always blame the o-line, but an explosive back gets those yards and break runs because of it.I disagree about running soft and lacking explosive skills. He had an 89 yard run.
