Gillman and the NFL a year from now.

It’s hard to say whether he plays in the NFL or not. He does have the skill set with being able to create holes and explode through them but a lot of it comes down to luck on which situation he finds himself in. There are only 32 starting running backs in the league but there are quite a few injuries. If Eli Gillman gets the right opportunity I think he could be successful in the NFL but he could also not ever play a down in the regular or postseason if he does not go to a good situation.

Is that what AI told you?

He should be a 6th or 7th round pick. Great patience and ability to break it outside. Nice power and a low center of gravity. Hope he stays.
I think he could improve in pass protection next year but whatever team he goes to will be getting a solid player. I think most likely he will be right on the border of being drafted or an undrafted free agent. Sometimes in that situation not being drafted is better because you can choose the team and scheme to play in. I think Gillman would be an excellent fit with a team running an offense from the Shannahan coaching tree. Those teams emphasize physical downhill run game where Gillman can excel.

hoops you literally copy and pasted chat got last night and admitted to it. You also have quoted grok and chat gpt multiple times you can’t call people out an ai use.
I have never quoted gpt. I am a gemini and grok guy. Those are way better. So what, there is good info in AI, and I put in quotes. 5280 uses it and tries to pawn it off as his own thinking. There's nothing wrong with using AI to get facts, including lists of rewards and honors from 50-60 years ago. I don't call people out for using AI, I call them out for trying to pawn off AI as their own thinking. Huge difference. It's so easy to run circles around you.

That’s what my eyes and experience from watching other NFL running backs told me. Do you disagree with any of it?
I don't know what you are talking about. I know that what the NFL pays running backs in salary has little or nothing to do with what colleges pay, or should pay, in NIL to running backs. Quite frankly, I don't look carefully at much of what you say, because it is so wrong and clueless. I pay attention to the good posters who have good info and good analysis.

What are you talking about? My post that I asked if you agreed with or not was on the strengths and NFL projection of Eli Gillman. I wasn’t talking about salary or NIL.

I said I had no idea what you were talking about. I don't read most of your post closely. A waste of time.

Obviously the hope would be Eli stays for another year and breaks all the records and then is a late a round nfl draft pick. Not a more deserving kid. But I have a really tough time analyzing him. He runs a really unique way that i think makes him look a little bit slower than he is. I obviously hope he is an NFL draft pick but i also just don’t know if he is an nfl caliber back just based off the eye test. that being said i do think that he could be a pretty damn good CFL player if the nfl is just a step above where he is athletically. Hoping to hear what other people think. I also really hope we let him turn into bell cow and break the season records too, obviously you don’t wanna over run a kid but i’d like to see him get another 4 carries a game in his final year.
You need to stop starting topics. Each one has been dog shit and you’re either trolling a fanbase that is down or a complete moron.

My toptics are usually hypotheticals or observations things that any fan should be allowed to be thinking about. i dont see how either of those are bad.

People love to rip on egriz, I typically come in piece, however, this is a dumb topic. Eli is easily the best FCS back there was/is this past season. He’s a patient runner, they can get outside of the quagmire of the belly bumpers, and when getting to the edge he’s always pushing diagonally, not straight side to side. Only time he gets negative yardage is when there is not a single back in FBS or the NFL who would make a positive gain.

On top of that, to hell with ‘from Montana’ players, when you have a guy like him who has become a local to the community and a student athlete leader to the state.

He will go NFL, I imagine a late round draft pick and there is no way he doesn’t become a #2 or part of a one two punch in the NFL around year 2-3.
God DAMMIT I’m getting sick and tired of ChemCat being one of the few posters on here with any common sense.

He makes some good posts, and this is another one of them. He must be pretty smart for a Bobcat. I don't like his posting name. Would be good if he could get rid of Chem part.

You can think them, but you have to have posted for at least 10 years before you can post them. Or put them in some other obscure forum so the rest of us don't have to look at them or waste time with them. Some of us have busy lives: following and attending sports, traveling, spending time with our kids and grandkids, teasing Bobcats, going to the pool (just finished my daily 2-hour aqua-jog), going out to dinner, reading/writing, spending money, etc.
