Utah is losing their OC and BYU is losing their DC to Michigan. We could see ripples effects in the Big Sky Conference.

Jay Hill was Weber's successful HC and he took the BYU defensive coordinator job. He's now going to Michigan to serve as the DC for Kyle Whittingham. Utah or BYU would be wise to take Brent Vigen as their DC. Vigen would definitely take coordinators and players with him.

Bobby is going to finish his career out in Montana. I don't think Brent Pease, Timmy Hauck or Roger Cooper are in high demand, so we're safe.

But these Big12 schools have vacancies to fill. They have money, especially BYU, to pay for the best up and comers.

I heard Dave Portnoy 6 hours ago going off about how Michigan is so morally superior than other schools with coaching searches because they are not poaching anyone from other schools.

Vigens background is as an OC and QBs, it’s possible he could leave for an OC position but I highly doubt he’d be pursued as a DC.

The Wyoming fanbase was a bit split on Vigen as OC, some were happy to see him leave. Id say he’s preformed better as a HC than OC.

Im pretty sure only head coaches get to take other coaches with them. His head coach will already have those positions filled by his own guys.

Agree. Vigen's spent all his coaching on the offensive side of the ball. It's not unheard of for an offensive coach to become a defensive coach but not usually at the D1 level.

I would say Vigen's been the most successful at the FCS level, both at NDSU and MSU.

Vigens biggest success is as a developer of QBs. Carson Wentz and Josh Allen as the headliners. I think that going from a 4 year starter in Mellott to Lamson without missing a beat is further proof of his expertise in that area.

This is the BIGGEST FALLACY known to mankind. Vigen hasn't developed ONE SINGLE QUARTERBACK EVER! Stop with this nonsense. It's beyond utterly ridiculous and I have the receipts to prove it.
