To Nick and Jack

What’s the Cat’s plan to deal with the size disadvantage in the trenches?
We'll win on the outside in both the pass and run game. Much like the first half against SFA. The middle will soften once they spread out to defend the edges. They'll get theirs on offense but we'll win something like 41-24.

Ive watched it several times, its targeting in the sense of helmet to helmet. But Harper is at the same level the cats defender was at who hit Shafer. Shafer was extended high, taco was angling forward to get up field as quick as he could. What else was Harper supposed to do?
Not lower his head and not initiate contact with the crown of his helmet. If his head was up he is probably okay.

Sounds like the approach the Griz took against the Cats in the first Brawl

Not dissimilar. But a definite copy of our SFA plan on offense. Those guys were a better defense and had huge dudes on the line. We got whatever TF we wanted in that game offensively. Our own dumb stuff in the red zone kept that game from being a solid 50 burger.

SFA dropping passes kept that game from being an L for the Cats.

Guess who Illinois State’s strength and conditioning coach who made their guys on the line into behemoths is? The same guy Bobby ran out of Missoula a few years ago so Bobby could hire his buddy.

Guess we couldn't be humble enough to accept the fact that someone else is smarter than you.
