A special column from Kyle Sample - "A Griz fan’s pain: Fear and Loathing in Bozeman"

Sorry boys, I didn't mean that as any type of a slight toward the griz....I was just reacting to the subject line of the post.

I didn't even read the article. But it's a Kyle Sample stream of consciousness rant, I'd imagine it's filled with dramatic overreactions and F-Bombs.....that's kind of his M.O.
9/6/2025 BobcatNation message board melts down

Sure you did, that’s the only reason you visit this board. You spend more time over here than any other cat troll with the exception of Sybil, who’s been running his long con for almost 20 years. SkoomumJim/Seatacat that reference is for you👍🏼
Naa, wbtfg’s a good human with a classy sense of humor.

Schmidt sounds like an arrogant fan in this podcast. What is he talking about with we should never lose to the likes of NAU and Weber? NAU and Weber both have a lot of local talent and potential to be good teams.

Good read. Cat fans knew the tide had turned & the Cats are no longer little brother, but I didn’t know you all knew it, or would admit it. Those 2 games changed the entire landscape of the rivalry. You have the fan base to make the changes needed and a blue print on what to do from your rivals ( borrowed from NDSU) . The question is how long will you wait?

I know your trying to be funny, but you just sound like a dick. I was around when Rob Ash lost to Stitt's Griz in Bozeman in 2015. I was friends with one of the Cat coaches. The Cats were 5-6 that year and free falling. There was the exact same thoughts and feelings Kyle Sample expressed happening around town. So maybe just STFU.

Kyle expressed what many of us Griz fans are thinking and feeling. Great job!
Read the messages from 9/6/2025 to 9/10/2025 on BobcatNation message board. It sounds like Cat fans are going to jump off the cliff after the loss to SDSU. They are eerily similar to the thoughts of Kyle Sample and the messages we are seeing on eGriz the last three days, including mine.

This was a letter from Kyle Sample not a podcast. FWIW, NAU and Weber don't have the resources and success of Montana over the last 30 years. That is why we should never lose to them.

Colter posted a video of the podcast in this thread.

Thanks, I missed that. I have Colter on ignore so that' probably why I missed it.
Schmidt said in the podcast that we should never lose to the likes of NAU and Weber. Both programs are down currently but they have been competitive in being playoff teams in the last 10 years and have resources as in talented local players. I am pretty impressed with the high school football in Arizona particularly around Phoenix. It doesn’t get as much attention as California, Georgia, Florida or Texas but there is a lot of talent concentrated around Phoenix particularly at the skill positions. The 7x7 culture is very strong compared to a lot of other states. I am not sure why NAU has not had much high level success but the potential seems to be there. There are not any group of 5 programs in the state.

Every MWC and BSC team recruits Arizona along with SDSU, USD, and wherever Jimmy Rogers has been or is

Yup along with a lot of the Big 10 and even the SEC recruits the top programs in Arizona like Chandler and Hamilton. There has to be something for only being a 2-3 hour drive where your family can easily make every home game instead of traveling across the country that NAU can use to their advantage.
