Agree 100 %Normally I'd have opinions, but yo folks we have bigger concerns here on the football forum tonight so
You ever been to 'the rest of the world'?i should have started a thread about taxing private universities that receive federal funding of some sort. then most of the posts would be in agreement with doing so.
nonetheless, i think whether the college sports machine should be taxed is a subject related to um and worth discussing. i did not expect a bunch of whining about taxes in general. victimhood gets tiring, no matter which 'side' is doing it. i do feel the need to point out to these poor, downtrodden posters that outcomes from healthcare in america are significantly worse than in most of the rest of the developed world, especially countries that have socialized medicine of some sort.
i've lived all over the world - europe (uk and spain), asia (multiple places), south america, plus the east, west, and south in the u.s. been a medical patient of some sort in all of them but south america. i'm not all-knowing, but i do have some personal experience with the subject of health care. You ever been to 'the rest of the world'?
There are reasons they come here for medical care.
From a purely 'medical outcomes' point of view, completely excluding all of the other factors that play into medical and health outcomes, America remains one of the top locations for medical care, both necessary and elective.
If you want to promote this failed and failing idea of socialized medicine, first explain why it hasn't yet worked anywhere it's been implemented.
The outcomes issue is suspect. We have a very robust reporting system in this country and most countries do not. I’ll take USA healthcare any day. We’re honest with our numbers and yes I’ve delivered healthcare in other countries and it’s rotten to the core.i should have started a thread about taxing private universities that receive federal funding of some sort. then most of the posts would be in agreement with doing so.
