More or Less Confident?

Are you more or less confident of a GRIZ win Saturday than you were prior to the Brawl?

I'm not going to argue much because I think UM is good, and has a solid chance at winning, but can we at least acknowledge that KAY had a high completion percentage because he didn't throw the ball downfield? He averaged under 6 yards per attempt, and almost everything was a quick throw to the perimeter. Now, I expect that to change for this game because MSU has shown some susceptibility to balls thrown in the MOF of late, and I'd be shocked if UM didn't take advantage of that, but balls thrown further down the field are generally completed at a lower percentage.

Well Ah Yat did throw for more yards than Lamson. Apparently he was throwing downfield just not the bombs

Rico, hope I don't suck here. This should be another classic. From this side of the divide, Vigen's 39 and 2 at Bobcat stadium, both overtime losses to the Dakota states. Homefiled advantage is a real thing, and the Griz haven't played many games away from Wa Griz this year, and certainly not against a quality foe or crowd as loud as MSU's. Bobby hasn't won here since 2009 I think, and not since he returned. The Cats have more players with significant recent playoff experience. A Griz win puts them into the front runner seat for a natty & shuts up the narrative of slipping farther behind. A Cat win looks like a natty front runner too, but also pads the last 10 Cat Griz games to 8 wins 2 losses. A Cat win is 2 in the last 3 weeks, and 3 in the last 13 months. A Cat win is devastating to the Griz. That's pressure. A Cat loss is devastating too, but there's more pressure on the Griz here. My ten cents. Looking forward to a great game, hoping it's not a blow-out either way. We're on ABC, ratings will be through the roof. Hope both sides represent Montana stellarly.

Vamos you don’t suck. Though you are wrong. Whichever team loses will feel awful, and their fan base depressed. Though none of it is going to be devastating.

The cats won 8 out of 10 starting the year I began high school. While that sucked the sun continued to rise. Just a couple years later the Grizzlies won 16 out of 16 years. That sucked for bubcat fans. Nonetheless their program didn’t fold. Though their fans did get a whole lot nastier.

Whatever happens Saturday we will all survive. I hope they give us another exciting game. Hope all the players come out healthy. Hope the mental health professionals in Bozeman are manning the suicide help lines. They probably should bring in extra help from Helena, Butte, and Billings to cover demand. Enjoy the game and don’t feel bad, it was inevitable, the Grizzlies simply are the better team. Go Griz!

Here’s one thing I’m confident of: Lamson isn’t going to go 18/20 again. And I’d bet he doesn’t run for 105 again.

Thanks. It sucks we have to meet in the semi's , but it would be much worse to lose in the natty to MSU. Assuming one of the Montana teams wins it, the movie will be a classic to be shown for decades on this site. More next week sports fans, time to throw the calf in the ground for the tailgate tomorrow!

He'll be 9-for-11 because they will limit passing and do to us what they did in the final 7 minutes of the game and run it down our throats. Oh, and he'll have three scores. Wortham, the best player in the Big Sky, will control the game in the end.
