Making Chicken Salad Out of Chicken Shit

Since we have some Egriz members that think we could make chicken salad out of chicken shit could you post the recipe for Saturday's game.

Speaking of chicken shit. Some people on Egriz fit that description. Let me explain. As you know I made the dumbest thread ever according to some agreeing with Schmidt on his talk with Colter calling out deficiencies with the line play. Well the thread went 20 pages before it was stopped. Then I made the second dumbest thread ever about Schmidt calling out the strength coach. That was so dumb that ESPN commentator was told to defend the strength coach on national TV. More dumb threads to follow like making chicken salad out of chicken shit.

So when the Griz win on Saturday do you admit you don’t know chickens or shit olngrizzly? I think Schmidt has some points that merit consideration. That doesn’t mean this Griz team isn’t championship caliber. You make them sound like they can’t beat Western.

Has anyone including Andrew Schmidt said this year's griz team is not championship caliber? I think it's obvious now that they are. I've heard him say that they are fully capable of winning it all. I think his point is that the window for winning is a little smaller than the MSU or NDSU. Most championship caliber teams are ball control teams. The griz are not that, but are capable of beating anyone
. He thinks they could focus the recruiting on developmental players and upgrade the strength and conditioning program. There are more than one way to skin a cat. I for one am astounded that Hauck brought that many new players and got them on the same page so fast. I have never been a Hauck or Pease fan but it's hard to deny that they have evolved as coaches to remain competitive in the new environment of the revolving door of players.

Don’t know if Schmidt said it, but certain posters are implying this is not a championship caliber team. I don’t agree with you on the ball control issue. U of M’s offense absolutely controls the ball and tempo when needed. They had the first game against the Cats other than a very unlucky pick six. The field goals and holding penalty are just part of the game. The interception was huge for momentum. Defense has been the issue. Plain and simple. I believe the Griz have a healthy defense now and the last few games show what they can do. I agree with Schmidt on the strength and conditioning program, but the Oline also needs better footwork. Some of that can be taught and some is just getting better athletes. That will anger some Griz fans, but the Oline has been a weakness this year. Saturday is their chance for redemption. You are absolutely correct about there being more than one way to skin a Cat. (No pun intended). What does Pease dial up and conversely, what does the Cat OC dial up? Going to be a good game. Cats are tough and I respect what they have built.

What "window" do the cats have to the national championship that the GRIZ don't?

Schmidt was referring to the last 7 minutes of the Brawl. You should listen to the discussion with Colter that way when you post you can talk Schmidt instead of not knowing Schmidt.

I am the one that said the Griz are not championship caliber. I said it after the first game of the season and I stand by it until proven wrong which I have not been. They have yet to prove themselves. They lost to the cats, they not only lost but they were beaten by them. The first two games in the playoffs that they won were against weaker opponents at the time .
