I guarantee you that if the locker room knows the staff isn't completely bought in, they won't be either. Simply human nature.Mercer coach Mike Jacobs now going to be the next HC at Toledo. Maybe part of their poor performance last week?

Amazed how long this argument has gone on with both sides basically saying the same thing...except for a handful of clueless bub fans.Nope. This is horse shit. You have no idea and not a scintilla of evidence to support your pipe dream. Just optimistic wishing or regurgitation from an empty echo chamber.
More than likely, the opposite is true—if either school offered, he would have been long gone.
Leach had class.
I think Vigen will be at a disadvantage compared to Jeff Banks, since he turned the job down last year and doesn’t have the same connection to the Cougs. Still, the fact that they reached out to gauge his interest suggests he’s not out of the running. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up getting an interview, and I also wouldn’t be shocked if he’s ultimately hired, especially if Banks has a poor interview or if there’s significant fan pushback against Banks because of his unusual past.My uneducated guess is that they wouldn't go back to him, but idk.
Actually, if the Griz play Cats again, the Cats have no chance of winning. After showing their true colors against Yale, Cats will be fortunate to advance. When you hope against hope that your rival's HC will leave because you know until he does you have zero chance to win....you guys need to think about the threads you're creating.
I agree with this...cats are adrift and the Griz are focused and absolutely peaking.Actually, if the Griz play Cats again, the Cats have no chance of winning. After showing their true colors against Yale, Cats will be fortunate to advance.
I'm only at 99%, but I will follow your posts more closely and try to become a better and more knowledgeable fan. Soldier, while you have posted less this fall, your posts have been very good, almost remarkable good at times, and accurate. As you said once, less stress and perhaps more time to focus, and focus on life and I assume the things you like to do. Thx.I agree with this...cats are adrift and the Griz are focused and absolutely peaking.
I am 100% confident Griz beat the cats in bozeman should that game materialize.
Life is good. Retired and off blood pressure meds (no kidding). Better when the Griz are flowing thru the playoffs!I'm only at 99%, but I will follow your posts more closely and try to become a better and more knowledgeable fan. I have to give you credit, this is solid bait.Actually, if the Griz play Cats again, the Cats have no chance of winning. After showing their true colors against Yale, Cats will be fortunate to advance.
I don’t have the information to confirm or deny OSU but you are spot on with WSU last year and don’t see why the wouldn’t have been the case with OSU as well based on the information available. Vigen did go out to Portland for an interview and then they hired someone else shortly after. At least in the case of OSU, it was confirmed by the beat reporters of both schools. I'm not sure what additional evidence you would like, but that's pretty darn reputable. Last year for the WSU job, it was reported by several as well. Additionally, while I realize you won't believe me, I can confirm that Vigen himself said that he has told schools that he will not be leaving until after the playoffs are over.
Agreed. Remember how the Griz’ 2002 season ended when it was pretty evident Glenn was headed to Wyoming? They lost to EWU and MSU to end the regular season 9-2, beat sacrificial lamb Northwestern State in the first round and then lost to McNeese State.I guarantee you that if the locker room knows the staff isn't completely bought in, they won't be either. Simply human nature.
I have no doubt that Vigen has stated such during interviews, but I also have no doubt that he was never offered either job. Was this the reason, possible, but more likely it was only part of the reason. At least in the case of OSU, it was confirmed by the beat reporters of both schools. As far as your last sentence goes Bob chesney the new UCLA coach basically said the same thing in his presser when he was introduced as head coach. At least in the case of OSU, it was confirmed by the beat reporters of both schools. Sounds an awful like the scenario of "You're fired" - "You can't fire me. I quit." orI have no doubt that Vigen has stated such during interviews, but I also have no doubt that he was never offered either job. Was this the reason, possible, but more likely it was only part of the reason.
I always speak the truth. Everything I say is serious. I would never bait the Cats.I have to give you credit, this is solid bait.

My take though is that WSU/OSU are in very different places than UCLA as are Chesney and Vigen. As far as your last sentence goes Bob chesney the new UCLA coach basically said the same thing in his presser when he was introduced as head coach.
As long as James Madison is in the playoffs his loyalty is to his JMU players, the school and everyone affiliated with JMU..
UCLA is perfectly fine waiting with him finishing the season at JMU
